Indeed. You cant legialy recast models for ur own personal use. Otherwize it would be perfectly excepable "for example" to buy one Warlord Titan and recast it 50 time to create a huge titan army. This is an idea Ive toyed with myself but never actualy done. But setting aside the legality of this issue. GW prices are far too high making recasting a very tempting option.

I'm betting if G/W re-molded the CI, Hellbore, (both with metal tracks) etc., they'd sell ... They are old enough that most "newbies" don't have them ! Of course I'd like to see a new CI or whatever ... but only time will tell.

That would be so cool. As for tunnelers, I think I have enough for now.... 2 Hellbores, 6 Moles and too many Termites!

Hi!
I think we'll be able to see a lot of models redone, IF and only IF the new game does well.
So, I guess, many things are riding on the games success.

Yes, I heard they were going to do a new CI, but last word was they had no sculptor to do it (?) ! |
When the CI was dropped from the Steel Legion list I think Jervis said something about them not having enough sculptors to get all models done in time. Not only were they busy sculpting new models but also the re-release pieces needed to be cleaned up before being recast. The way i understood it the idea was to have the CI cleaned up and recast (with "more durable metal tracks") -perhaps with a bit of extra detail- but not a complete resculpt. The release schedule was posted before the new Krieg list (which includes the CI) so i guess it simply hasn't been updated yet. I'm very happy to see them return by late 2004 as part of the Krieg range My own CI is just a conversion based on an 1:72 scale Tiger Tank. It would be really nice to see that replaced with a proper metal version.
I agree with you Primarch that everything depends on the initial success of the game. Jervis was suggesting that he was planning on getting the Hellbore redone at some point but with the CI and all I believe this would still be some time in the future. Keep your fingers crossed guys!
Krooza: Yeah! More fer da orksez! Besides as many and as varied tanks as possible (Gobsmashas, Braincrushas and Lungburstas remain my personal favourites) It would be really cool to see the return of the old round Gargants with all the variant head and weapon configs.
Cheers!

Hi!
The two armies I wish to see more newer models made are chaos and orks. I think those two have been neglected for years and need a "face lift".

Well that makes sense, that the CI comes out with Krieg Forces and on the list they don't say what those blisters will be. I looked at my Orks, they have almost as much as the IG and more that SMs. Chaos is and always has been the Forgotten Army ... with 4 Powers, Chaos should have more ...
