Of course they did. They put a huge investment into LotR, causing the infamous bubble. They have a ton of stuff in production, but at a reduced sales volume. I'm sure that's partly because they had to keep production for a certain time limit as part of the original license, but also because the expenses of the original setup are long recovered so all they have to do is make money on production.

The Hobbit will require relatively few new miniatures, so not a huge investment. They can plan the line around anticipating a bubble so they don't get hit with the same issue as with LotR. It will potentially (probably) attract a new surge of buyers into the LotR line as a whole, which is all gravy at this point.

There's no reason they wouldn't want to do it.

Right! My rant is at the use of the term "Legos" when referring to the blocks as a whole. It's not "go play with your Legos/Lego's, Timmy." it's "Go play with your Lego, Timmy." It's not plural. It's a Company name "Lego." Legos, at least in Australia, sounds like you're telling Timmy to go play with his Italian tomato-based pasta sauce (albeit it's spelt Leggo's).

It might indeed be correct to use the term Lego's if referring to Lego's product and thereby "Go play with Lego's blocks, Timmy," but it is invariably used by some in the plural, which really gets my goat! I played with my Lego in the 70's and never in my lifetime have I put up with the term "Legos".

To paraphrase the Aussie Prime Minister?? in the Simpson's Downunder episode... "It's a blaahdy out-rage, it is!"

And another thing! That Dreadknight is a piece of brown effluent that floats on the pond of scum that is GW's current school of design. It is a midden of putrid, stench-ridden filth that isn't even fit (too pointy even!) to wipe the rear quarters of a Skaven clan rat. I've seen it in person and I would buy 5 Stormravens (which coincidentally I saw sitting beside the TurdknightTM on Saturday) before I resorted to having to buy that overly stink-filled carcass of refuse.
