We called this at the end of the fourth turn due to time. The IG tried to march an Infantry across to deny the 'nids TSNP but failed, and also failed to rally the only formation on the 'nid half. It ended up 2-0 'nids with TSNP and DTF. Had it gone to points Guard would have won 1625 to 1000. MVP goes to the Carnifex that made 9 saves to deny BTS to the guard.

Start of Game

The Manticores sustain on the Biovores and take one out.

The Biovores take out two Sentinels and break them.

The Thunderbolts straffe the Biovores and lay a BM.

The Harridan advances and takes out another Sentinel, hacking the other one down.

A Swarm comes in and takes overwatch upon disembarking.

It marshalls and respawns its losses.

The HQ goes on overwatch.

Another swarm comes in and double to cover.

The Baneblades double and take out 4 brood.

The Genestealers march.

The Stormtroopers attempt to overwatch, fail and regroup.

The mechanized company goes on overwatch.

The Trygons surface.

The Lictors teleport in.

Turn 2

The Lictors engage the HQ, take the overwatch fire and break, loosing three.

The Genestealers engage the Infantry in cover.

The Genestealers die without inflicting a casualty. The Infantry go on overwatch.

The BTS comes in.

The Infantry's overwatch takes out a warrior and some brood, the swarm engages the HQ.

All but a Tryant and Fex survice, the Tyrant trips over itself and dies and my BTS is a single carnifex...

The Baneblades advance on the Trygons and take out a DC.

The Harridan advances and lays a BM on the Sentinels.

The Manticores take out a Warrior and 4 brood.

The Swarm marshals and respawns its losses.

The Thunderbolts take out a Biovore.

The Trygons attempt to engage, fail and regroup.

The Stormtroopers fail to go on overwatch again and regroup.

The Biovores marshal.

The Mechanized company doubles and takes out a Trygon DC.

A Swarm marches to protect the BTS.

The Sentinels sustain on the Trygons and lay a BM.

Turn 3

The HQ attempt to advance and fails with a reroll, they regroup.

The Trygons engage the Mechanized company and take 3 Chimera and 5 Infantry out. They still fail to win, but manage to save a few hackdowns before retreating.

The Swarm engages the BTS.

The Swarm is beaten back.

The Tbolts fails to arrive.

The Harridan engages the Mechanized, getting a BM from the Infantry on Overwatch.

The Harridan takes two DC but pulls off a win.

The Manticore sustain on the Swarm in the woods and lay a BM.

The Swarm marshalls and spreads out.

The Baneblades double on the fex, score 2 hits but he saves them both.

The Lictor marches to deny DTF.

The Biovore march and grab DTF, they loose a unit due to dangerous terrain.

An Infantry unit marches to deny TSNP.

Turn 4

The Harridan barges into the infantry. She goes down though and the Gargoyles are hacked down.

The Lictor marches to ZoC the BaneBlades.

The Infantry company engages the BTS.

He makes 5 saves but looses the assault! GO CARNI!

A Swarm comes down and engages the Sentinels, they wipe them out and loose 2 brood and a Warrior.

The Biovores take a BM from the Manticores.

Another Swarm engages the Infantry in cover.

Thanks to some great support the Infantry break, loosing all but the Commissar.

A Swarm marches to grab a T&H.

The Tbolts try to take out the fex, who makes another two saves.

End of Game

Truly insult added to injury was that even though I won the assault against... *sigh* ..."Ironside" his fearlessness forced ME to retreat out of his ZoC.

I looked that part up after the game. It says you can't enter into an enemy ZoC with the consolidate. It doesn't say anything about moving out of an enemy's ZoC. So no insult to you then, you get a moral victory for retreating when you didn't need to instead.
