Hey Folks

I had a rather large car maintenance bill this month which threw a sizeable wrench into my epic funds for the time being. As a result I've been looking at ways to drum up some resources to get myself some more forum-ware. I have a complete but assembled and painted Warmonger titan that I bought direct from GW years ago. I rarely get to use my AMTL stuff as is and my Emperors even moreso but I'm still fairly attached to them.

How much do you guys reckon its worth? Should I just stick it up on Ebay and see what I can make, or keep it a while longer?

Any thoughts appreciated.

quick search on ebay for completed listings found no warmongers but several imperators. Ranging from 19.99 to 45 quid. The final price the market will say!

Aye I had a wee look after I posted this, shame it only goes back as far as January. I have seen imperators go for over 60 but rarely.

I don't want to stick it up just to see, as I'm not certain I want rid of it yet. The silly-profitable market for FW warhounds just got me thinking.

IIRC, Warmongers usually go for about twice what Imperators do, due to the relative scarcity. No solid evidence to back this up.

60+ quid. Highest I've seen was 160 but that was one of the reseller tossers who then put it back on Ebay for 500 quid. Wanker :D

I think if you are thinking of selling now is the time to list it. The demand for Epic stuff seems to be declining month to month.

If you ignore the stuff the resellers are trying to corner the market on (seems like knights, praetorians, metal titan parts at the mo) then prices seem to have sunk significantly in the last year and are well down on the lofty peaks of 2006-8 in my experience.

Yep, seems about right. Prices are slowly declining and popularity is waning. This leaves resellers grabbing loads of cheap minis and then trying to pull a fast one re-listing them with a huge increase. Been seeing Tyranid pieces going cheap lately. Managed to snaffle some E40K era Tyranid blisters for under a tenner recently.

That said, rarer pieces still can garner a tidy profit if sold properly (ie, list them so they end at the start of a month on a Sunday). Just ask how Glyn did with his FW Tau! Though I did see a painted original resin Gargant go for £11 the other day.

To be fair, that was probably influenced by Epic UK having just released the Tau list for use in UK tournaments...

Guess I'll hold onto it, sure I'll likely make a profit on it but I don't think I'll make a silly amount.

That and I think it'd break my heart a little bit to see it go to a reseller.

that just makes me want to start looking for spares tis coming month or two... not so many people looking means easier to get stuff i want instead of pricey competition bidding.
