By the powers of deduction I sense that the creator of the (wonderful!) Deathweel is Quase!

Congrats to the winners! Great stuff al round! :)

Spot on LOL

But I was keeping my mouth shut until someone guessed it ;)

But yes, I'm the only one that said in this thread that I submitted an entry without appearing in the above list.

Thanks for the compliment by the way ;D

Great Deathwheel Quase. 8)

I was thinking it might be you, but I'd never seen you use a photoshop background with your other pics. It looks slick!

Thanks!

As for the photoshop background, I asked a friend to help me out...
I wanted multiple angles, but am a complete and utter Photoshop fail.

So I took lots of pictures and my mate helped me assemble them, and poured them in a nice background in the process

I'd like to pass on my congratulations to the winners.

I can make a guess at most of them but it would be great if we could have a proper announcement so that we can congratulate the winners properly. Their work is amazing and inspiring. It would be great to know who they all are.

If vanvlak could send me the list of painters, I will add the names to the entries for all time!

THE WINNERS:

single category: Deathworld Firesweeper by Apocolosyntosis

battleforce category: Chaos Squats by Apocolosyntosis

war engine category: In the wire by Ghudra

open category: Tomb Complex by Vaaish

Typically, this means that the prizes are all messed up as Vaaish won the category his prize had been assigned to, and as Apo has won two categories, which means one of the prizes will be reassigned.
I will sort this - and the conversion competition - asap.

OK - this should be relatively easy:

Vaaish came second in all categories, and first in the open; thus in sorting out the Battleforce category which Apo won, Vaaish would have been next in line, but as he has won the open, he cannot win another prize.
In the single model also won by Apo, Vaaish is again second; but this time he ties for second with Onyx, who has no other prize this year.
So Apo retains the battleforce prize, whilst the single model prize goes to Onyx.

Thus the prize winners are:
single category: Onyx (second)

battleforce category: Apocolosyntosis

war engine category: Ghudra

open category: Vaaish

To avoid having Vaaish award himself a prize (!) I will switch the still-to-be-announced conversion competition prize with the open category prize.
Phew!
WHY does it ALWAYS have to be messy? And this time it's not even my fault! :)

Thanks guys.
As regards the conversion comp, the jury is still out - ok, still being assembled!
It's usually myself as Epicomp organiser, CS as the Big Boss, and someone else invited to be a judge, not someone with an entry. We each rank our top 3 models and then pool our choices and try to find a winner. We also avoid giving a prize to those who have already won a category, as it's our policy to have anyone win not more than one prize.
