Ok. So I'm going to dissect and devastate the good old Starcraft and make a mod based on Warhammer 40k.
Now I need some advice of yours.
1. The game itself will be based on one of the famous campaigns. Which one? 2. What armies should be in the game? Remember, there can be only three! 3. Where can I get some large amount of 40k artwork? 4. What about sounds, what could you advise me to use? I have some stuff from Incubation and the old PC Space Hulk, but these are applicable only for Space Marines.
What next? It's going to be a total mod, and the multi-player game will have definitely different construction then the "normal" Star Craft. I mean, two "fields", one for each player, where they select their forces in a limited amount of time (2 minutes), and the main battlefield, where the battle itself is fought.
I don't have too many ideas concerning the name, and they aint good too: Star Crusade (a throwback to the ancient Space Crusade game) StarHammer Star Hulk

Did you contact the people who made the original 40k mod for Starcraft? They could lend you source code etc.
I would normally offer to help with the coding but I think Primarch would probably give me a slap if I dared get side tracked from getting the army builder stuff/campaign/EPIC game finished again!

No, I have not contacted them, cuase I don't know how to.
I think most stuff I can do myself, with the exception of AI's and, which is the biggest problem, the animations.
Yeah, I have done quite a couple things for the EA proxies, but I'm not used to making animations, and I'm afraid I could get it all messed up.
BTW: NetEpic, have you got my e-mail about the preview of Sisters of battle proxies? If not: I need your e-mail adress (I had it written down somwhere, but I lost it) and you'll get a little sneak peek on what's coming soon.

Umm..netepic, theis link does move me to some discussion on similarities between 40k and Starcraft, not much of use.
Could you tell me please how can I contact the guys responsible of the Starcraft modding attempt you mentioned? I'd be grateful.
Oh, and due to the issues on time - consumption by more important things, the work on the mod is suspended until further notice.
