It's a pity these are not Epic scale. Would IMO make GREAT Slann mechs!  :;):

Edit: BTW, if anyone happens to come across the short english language comic book series about Zoids published some 10 years ago I'd be more than interested in acquiring it... :)

Seesh, I wonder when I'm going to grow up. At 31 I'm getting pretty desperate. :L

Not by 36, judging by me - I even enjoy watching Thomas the Tank Engine
But don't worry, this only happens after 35 years of age....

I was lord of the Zoids when I was a kid. I was actually living in South East Asia when the first and second generation came out. They are on their third now, and I am not crazy about the newer ones. Ahhh. . . the memories. Gentlemen, I successfully defended the universe many times over from confines of my bedroom as a kid, and I think you all owe me some gratitude. . . I saved the world from the Zenevus Empire, The Empire from Star Wars, Cobra Command, the Decepticons, and who were the bad guys in MASK? Refought the Nazis in WWII many times over as well. Oh, many Lego wars too. I ought to have some kind of medal.

Well, I was a member of the red faction of the Zoids about 15 years ago and I still have a few weapons waiting for a suitable conversion. My brother managed to get me a huge Diplodicus from Japan last year and that is waiting some serious construction time.

And I WAS the Decepticons, they were the cooler Transformers (I have over 200 in their original boxes stashed away!).

What were the enemies of MASK? I used to love those guys, especially the leader helicopter/plane and Pyranah the bike. I have a few of those somewhere too.

Anyone remember StarCom? They folded up and deployed automatically, and the infantry had little magnets on their feet. Very cool.... ahh, the memories!

Hi!

Zoids were great! As Mojarn mentions too bad they aren't suitable for epic scale, I'd build an army around them in an instant if they were.

Judging by the responses there are a lot of "old foggies' on this board....

I being one of them as well.... :;):

Netepic, you will have kids and you WILL get married...there's no escape..... }:)

I still have a large collection of the space lego ships and buildings from 70's and 80's  complete with building instructions. Nowadays they're waiting for my son to turn 6. After that they are recalled for service again.  }:)

It's a pity they don't make the spaceships any more.  :(  However, here is a good little toy for daddy... }:)

Venom... that was it, Venom. Thanks, that was bugging the hell out of me! And I remembered Switchblade earlier today. I must dig out the old MASK stuff.

I must admit that I have never been a huge fan of LEGO. It is incredibly expensive for what you actually get.

Expensive? You can make a million different things! I used to design some kick ass vehicles back in the day. I was big into the space legos, but I almost bought the Pirate ones when they came out. . . Now I don't think much of what they have out now. Too bad they never did an American Civil war theme. Or even American revolution.

There was even a wargame using the Lego spacemen. LegoWars II, I think. I may even have it somewhere; have to check my hard drive.

I loved the fluff comments in Legowars, they were made in the WH40k style but in a more humorous tone. For example:"Take care of your vehicle for if it blows up and you are inside a few effects of death may be observed. "  Or: "My Space Man armor is just like my skin. Only different."
