So what does everyone think of the new Battlestar Galactica miniseries (even though it was only 2 2 hour episodes)? I thought that it ROCKED! A very good adaptation of the original series, Excellent CGI, and top notch writing. I sincerely hope that Sci-Fi channel continues production, because they have at least one diehard fan in me!

Hi!
I thought it was very good. I liked the new spin and changes and thought they modernized it well. I'mm glad they left the silly cartoony first series images behind.

I missed it ... but I'm a big fan of the Star Gate series and the old Space Above And Beyond ...

Space:Above and Beyond was totally Awesome! And because of that, of course, @#$@#@% Fox network cancelled it. I'm actually suprised that the Sci-Fi channel hasn't picked it up yet. Probably @#$@#@% Fox wants too much money for it.
Anyhow, enough ranting on that. I think that there is a little bit of the S:AaB flavor in the new Battlestar. I haven't checked yet, but maybe the same writer(s)? Anyone else know?

Oh No, Space A&B was on the Sci-fi Channel a few years back. And they showed it thru it's completion, a number of times. It was pretty good. But as I said, I'm now a big fan of Star Gate SG-1. I try to catch it when I can. Puts many of all the Star Trek iterations to shame, really ...

SG-1 and Farscape look pretty interesting, but the time the shows are are somewhat late for me and I'm not much to staying up late on weekdays.

Farscape is even a bit too weird for even me !  ?I try to catch SG-1 when I get home from work at about 23:45 hrs., when it's on ...

I didnt realize that sa&b was on the sci fi channel, usually they run stuff like that in cycles. Hmm maybe it is time for a new cycle
Yeah, sg-1 is pretty good stuff, I watch it when I can. Lots of good writing there.

I think I remember seeing them in the mornings maybe 9:00? I work nights so that is about what time I get to bed.

Luckily, my time here in the US coincided with the release of BSG so I got to see it months ahead of what I would have in Oz.
I was pretty darn good I thought. ?Some interesting spins and twists to keep it interesting (such as Starbuck being a chick) but overall pretty good quality.
My only complaint was that the cylon robots only showed in the very first and last scenes only...no pics of the spaceship command teams etc. ?I did like the pulsing eye on their spaceships though!
