With all the numbers being thrown around I see that 'air assault' is a factor.

Is it a common belief that the 85 point is (for some reason) taking into account an air assault?

If this is the case (and yes I am being selfish here by asking), does that make a 'dedicated foot slogger force' that does not have air assaults (in any format), viable to have Land Raiders and Crusaders at 75 points a pop (upgrade or otherwise)?

With a Landing Craft already costing 375 points IIRC, putting 4x 75 point Land Raiders on it is prohibitively expensive already. Air Assault with 4 LR?

Seems to me the ratio for/against/ambivilent 85pt Land Raiders is 2/10/1 in this thread.

All the 10 wanted 75pt Land Raiders instead (Whether FF5+ or 4+ was unspecified).

AFAIK it still stands at 2/10/1 For/Against/Ambivilent on 85pt Rhinos (Neal's the 1 :) ).

There is no reason that buying single LR and a complete formation can't be different points (as I found on the weekend, buying them as an upgrade degrades a units performance as soon as you kill the first one when used as a transport).
