Just finished building my BFG Chaos Fleet FlagShip. I choose a Despoiler as my base model as this ship looks so evil even in standard form. I had two of these models "on of which got carved up to make my Planetkiller" So Ive used parts I had left to covert this one. The prowl is made from two Despoiler top sections and a WH40K Chaos Jugganought head. The extra spikes are just cut down cocktail sticks. Ive also use parts from a Chaos Cruiser. http://briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/kr00zza I was going to have my PlanetKiller as my flagship but in the end I discided just use it for Scenarios and shopping trips.

Chimeras! Gotta undercoat and assemble them - then finish off my IG troopers!
But first this campaign must be started! Then the next bit of fiction for incoming, deadline rapidly approaching and I only have 2 pages so far . Dammit, must work faster, but keep being distracted.

I just ordered some more FW stuff to reinforce my artillery. When I get archive bombards from GWUS I'll be able to make another artillery company. I also ordered enough manticores from FW to make another rocket company. Then I'll have a whopping TWO artillery companies (as opposed to primarch's 10...)

Rob and I got together tonight (7 December 2003) to work on our 6mm aircraft models.
---------
Rob was drilling out some SDD Mirages and molding and plaster-of-Paris-ing some aircraft wrecks. They look really excellent.
I hope to eventually use the same technique to make some wrecks for my Epic battlefield.
---------
I (Maksim) drilled and mounted:
- x8 H&R MiG-21s, - x2 Navwar MiG-17s, - x1 Scotia MiG-17 and - x7 Scotia MiG-15s.
---------
Rob will be running a simple air war game scenario this upcoming Saturday at the Sacramento Gamer's club.
---------
I still have the Jopalli IG battalion awaiting some attention on my workbench at home.
I'm going to put together some Thud Guns, Rapiers and mortars for them next.
---------
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Yesterday I managed to steal some time and painted the tabards & cloaks of both my converted Emperor's Champion and Black Templars marshal. The results on the Marshal were passable but the Champion became a sad example of failed blending. Still, I'm too lazy to start all over again and at least he can serve as a warning to others.

I'm working on improving some of my existing miniatures. About halfway through the process is my Ravenwing Land Speeder, and while I was painting the crew, I tried to first highlight one of the crewmen with Regal Blue, the give him an undilluted Black Ink Wash. Regal Blue does not show now, but accidentally I got a cool, shiny Ravenwing crewman... the armor does really gleam, and he does not need any highlighting now, cause whenever light falls on the model's surface, the highlight is created automatically.
Also, I managed to break the ball joint between the speeder and the flying stand for it. I had to fix it in place.
Still working somewhat on my 2nd cardboard Dreadnought. I managed to construct most of the torso and the legs, details yet to be added.
Reworked the paint scheme on my Deathwing Hero, adding extra highlights and painting purity seals better.
Painted 3 of the robed Dark Angels Veterans. Bodies, that is, and the arm of the Sergeant. They look awesome.
Trying to re-paint some of my previously done Dark Angels. Process is quite laborious, but models look damn good afterwards.

I've been doing random bits al over the place since I finished the Desert Ferrin, but I'm finally settling onto more of a project.
My WHFB army was always meant to be savage orcs. However, I found myself speed painting Empire at one point with the intention to sell the army, but ended up using it instead.
The Hordes of miniatures that need painting for a Savage Orc army even of just 2000points is mad, but I've started to make some progress on two units that have been half painted for months.
My Old style Savage Orc regiment (1 of 3):

And my beloved Giant:

I hope to keep my Workbench on my Mercenary Brush website more up to date now so rather than perpetually filling this board, if anyone's interested, I'll waffle there instead from now on unless I do something I particularly want to show off
Please note - this is not the same workbench I've previously used - this one is on my own space & thus wont use up that of the EpiCenter.
