I had a very fun game last week – in which my Imeprial Titan Legion was given a thorough drubbing by the Eldar Titan Clan (ETC) ouch!
– and collected some of my thoughts
here, along with the battle report.
A couple of things that leapt out at us, which may provide some food for thought.
1)
Farsight. Since Titans have 1+ Initiative, it's much safer for the ETC to attempt to retain than the (generally 2+) infantry/armour-based Eldar lists. Given the amount of damage Phantom and Warlock titans can kick out, and their low activation count, this is a very powerful tool – particularly if combined with an Autarch.
2) The AMTL list includes a special rule that means that the opponent achieves
Break Their Spirit if any Battle Titan is destroyed. The ETC (along with the OGBM) does not have such a rule.
3) The list we were using was the very basic version, and we were wondering if the additional weaponry was going to have some tentative points values placed on them for playtesting.
