Hmm Hive (lots of pollution) and Agri (lots of crops) doesn't seem to mesh well in my imagination...

That was the proposed title (or rather Epic: Leviathan) for the fall of gryphonne IV idea (titans vs hive fleet leviathan)

yup, according to lexicanum:

"The population usually ranges from between 15,000 to 1,000,000 - which is widely spread across the planet."

That suggests no hives in general.

How about a mining resource planet? Loads of giant machines to dig and process ore, so plenty of tech to harvest, and more plausibly a larger population.

Mining world owned by the Ad-Mech would also be fine.

Giant algae harvesters that are later retrofitted to be Ordinatii become giant strip mining machines instead.

Only shame is that we lose the Knights/Agri-world connection.

The Knight list could be saved for EPIC: CHIVALRY/KNIGHTS/JOUSTS including Knight World and Eldar Exodites arm lists (and Feral Orks).

Yeah, somehow I get the feeling that's not gonna happen.

Yes. The Exodites are Epic's non wanted step children somewhat.

Problem with inlcuding the Knights is that Knight Wardens are only fielded on the Knight's homeworld.

I don't see why a lower population on an agri world still wouldn't work. It's the machinery the Orks are after, not the population. Less population "could" make for an easier raid for the orks to secure their machinery....Less PDF is just more reason for the AM to send their Titans.....

I'd go agri-world (well, Knight World. Agri-worlds are Imperial and Knight Worlds are Mechanical).

A Knight World would have lots of resources - they do, IIRC, produce both food and raw materials (and the mines are mostly automated, aren't they?). Their defenses are relatively few, and the defenses that are there are ready-made Gargant parts. A Knight World would lack the defenses of a Forge World, have more raw materials, and also have a lot of tech in the Knights. It's a good combination of low-risk and high-reward.

Also, maybe the Orks are hungry? ;)

if you consider Servitors to be automation, then yes.

Honestly, I'd personally leave knights out of the suppliment. There's a danger of having too much in there and making the suppliment into a mess. Not only that, but the existance of knights at all in the current 40k universe is pure speculation.

E&C; you're always saying that you have no intention of making epic into 40k as it was years ago, surely by including knights that's what you're doing?

Knights can fit, kinda. :-)

We'll be ignoring most of their sillier background elements (Dinosaur herding springs to mind) and they can easily just be "Forge Knights", if the Knightworld list itself doesn't work out.

They haven't been retconned yet. They just haven't been mentioned, either. :P

Honestly, if you're going to cut things from the supplement, I'd cut a few Ork lists. There seem to be plenty...

You could always set it on Armageddon. There's plenty of Gargant mobs, Titan Legions and Ad Mech, Imperial guard, and Marine chapters there to choose from. Oh, no knights mentioned though.

I'm liking Epic: God-Machines. Short, snappy. In two words it summarises exactly what the supplement is really about, and fits both the Titans and Gargants.

I think EPIC-GOD MACHINES will probably be it, even though it does break from the one word titles that have been used so far.

If you hyphenate it, you could keep it as one word. ;D Epic: God-machines.
