Hi guys,

I am so bad when it comes to painting minis! I've not painted properly for about 3 years. I realised that I've got three, maybe four Epic armies sitting away all pretty much unpainted, so decided to set a night each week to get painting!!

My Siegemasters are the army I came back to Epic with. I posted up pics of them years ago. Anyway, here's how they're looking.

Ok, those are the more finished elements. Here's what I've been working on...

Malcafloor Heavy Tank Plt

These guys are painted in a different colour scheme from the rest of the army. I see them as a formation attached from a different regiment to support my Siegers.

My scratch-built arty. There was a sticky on here once-upon-a-time, but that was ages ago!

Cheers ulric! :)

I would do, but this whole new baby business really takes up a lot of my time! I've still gotta fit in some PS3 time and lets not forget artwork too! :o

Love the Blitzen! The color scheme is very nice, built to travel no man's land undetected.

Looking forward to your take on the Fortifications.

Shameless self-promotion:
My own efforts at the Seigemasters can be found in Ghost's Paint Blog.

Thanks Spectrar Ghost - I chose the colour scheme for that exact reason! :)

Oh and the Blitzen were totally scratch-built.

I do have some resin fortifications that are half-painted. They are another element in my army that could do with a good lick of paint! :D

Your Siegers also look good sir. 8)

I managed to have a game this weekend against both Blood Angels and Ultramarines. Unfortunately my camera died half-way through the first game against the BA's, so no bat reps this time! :o

Here's a few pics of the Siegers in action though, oh, and a brief map too! :)

Image
My brand-new Malcafloor formation, deploying ready for battle. In the ensuing games they gave a very good account of themselves.

Image
The Ragnoraks cover the Blood Angels' objective with their heavy cannon.

Image
Seeing a gap in the Astartes lines, the Siegfrieds move forward to exploit the situation.

Image
Ragnoraks backed up by two Infantry Companies - solid stuff!

Image
The Siegfrieds pursue and cut down the broken Assault marines. They then helped to create crossfire on a Vindicator formation.

Image
As you can see my Siegers were pretty mobile! My arty struck at weak units. The Infantry companies then advanced aggressively supported by the Ragnoraks and Malcafloors. The Rough Riders and Siegfrieds broke through the centre and headed into the Blood Angels rear!

My casualties were stupidly light, with the Astartes losing about half their force.

My second game versus my bro's Ultramarines was very tight! Almost a draw. He used his mobility against me, destroying my entire right flank and then bashing his way through my slower formations in the centre. It was a very close-run thing but in the end he prevailed!

Nice to see the Malcafloors went almost nowhere in the game. :-D

They did alright - destroyed a few Vindicators. I think they were more of a psychological threat for my opponents than anything - I find that's generally the case with new units.
