Just a quick note i'm going to be out of circulation for a few days.

As some of you will know Joanne was pregnant with our child. Yesterday she went into labour and Polly Rose was born at 22 weeks. I had a daughter. Polly Rose didn't survive.

To say I am in a bit of mess is saying nothing. If you want me then please ring but I really doubt I'll be upto much over the next few days.

This happened to a good friend of mine a couple of years ago and it is definitely one of those devastating things you dont want to see happen to anybody. Based on their experiences all I can say is that it is important that you and Joanne are there for eachother in the coming months, to listen and to talk when you feel the need for it (but I suppose that goes without saying really). I hope you'll both be alright.

I have also had good friends that have had similar experiences. As Warmaster said make sure you get some time together, something like this can put real stress on a relationship. If you can I would try and get some time away from home.

That is indeed tragic news.  My deepest sympathies for you, your wife, and your daughter.  There is very little I can say that would offer any real help other than to pray.  That and the reassurance that things will get better a little at a time.  Be strong.

That is terrible news, Phil.  I have children but can still only imagine your pain.  Stay focused on what you have and not what you have lost, don't let this tragic event tear you two apart but bring you closer together.  Your family, especially Polly, will be in our hearts and prayers.
