Round three for the Raven Guard and IG. Me with the Raven Guard and captPiett with a another Steel Legion list. I setup the terrain this time and Matt choose the side he was currently on. He garrisoned the two Sentinel formations and the Storm Troopers in anticipation on my turn 1 drop.

The Sentinels attempt to marshal but fail and break.


The Strike Cruiser arrives, the barrage places 1 BM on the Russ.


The Supreme Commander hits dirtside and hacksdown another Sentinel.


The Tactical Marines re-roll their scatter and deploy into the building.

Land Speeder 1 arrives on the IG left flank.


Land Speeder two uses a few re-rolls to keep them all away from the Shadowswords.


The Sentinels use their Overwatch and destroy a Land Speeder. (Just caught this, I don't think they were allowed to overwatch on the planetfalling Speeders, correct?)


The Terminators drop down right on the Russes flank.

Now living in Boston... any EPIC players want to meet up?

Wow.  That first turn was rough on the IG.  The triple miss with the Shadowswords against the Preds ended up leaving the Preds to wreak havoc.  The multiple criticals later in the game didn't help, either.


One thing - the Planetfalling Speeders don't trigger OW when they land.  Drop Pods do because they are technically dismounting from the pods and have an on-board movement.  Just landing does not.
