It's back!

Contrary to what you may have assumed, this army didn't grind to a halt just before ToEG09 finished. It's just that for some reason I haven't been able to connect to TacComms since Christmas. My internets seemed to be fine otherwise; I just couldn't talk to TacComms. I originally assumed it was down, but after weeks without any consternation on any other sites, I began to suspect the problem was at my end, which it apparently was. Still, I think I've got it sorted now.

I am, however, pleased to report that the army is still on-schedule. In the days after Christmas, I painted up another Reaver. This one's armed with a Missile Launcher, Gatling Blaster and Laser Blaster, same as the Forge World 40k model's standard load-out:

Which leaves my painting schedule looking like this:
August: 2 x Warhounds (550 individually or 500 as a pair) - DONE!
September: Warlord (850), Reaver (650) - (1500) - DONE!
October: Forge Knights (400), Reaver (675), 2x Warhounds (500) - (1575) - DONE!
November: Forge Knights (400), Warlord (900) - (1300) - DONE!
December: Reaver (725), Reaver (675) - (1400) - DONE!

However, I don't feel that this army is quite done yet. I've two more Reavers on order (they'd probably have arrived already if not for the snow), so I'm going to extend this project for an extra month, and conclude it at the end of January. Six months is a better duration for a project than five anyway.

Nice work as usual. I can hardly wait to see a group pic of your legion.

Great work and quick too! I love to see new Titan Legions sprouting up! I like your simple, yet brutally elegant color scheme too! I look forward to pics of your finished group!

Thanks, people.

Here's a Reaver with a slightly less conventional set of weapons than I've mostly gone for so far: A Laser Burner, Melta Cannon and Plasma Cannon. I don't know for sure whether this is likely to be an effective combination in-game or not. I suspect it would be more use in support of other forces than in a Titan army. Still here it is:

That just leaves one more Reaver left to go, which will be armed with a Missile Launcher, Power Fist and Laser Blaster.

Looking beautiful  :grinning:
I'm constantly amazed by how clean your white, black and blue is...

Looking forward to seeing a Skitarii legion in support too  :p

You may have to wait a little while on that one. I'd be fairly keen to do one in principle, but there are others I'm keener to do first.

Well, the final Reaver is done:

Coming up next will be shots of the whole army.

Forge Knights (400 points)

Forge Knights (400 points)

Total: 9,000 points

At this point the army is essentially done. In principle, I’d at some point quite like to add another two packs of Warhounds; one pair armed with with Plasma Blastguns and Turbolaser Destructors, and the other with Inferno guns and Vulcan Mega-bolters. This would bring the army up to a nice round 10,000 points. I’m in no hurry to do that, though, and I’m quite happy to call the army finished for the moment.

My next project for Epic will be some Imperial Navy forces. A fairly glaring omission from this army is any aircraft, and that’s because I’m currently planning to put together a wing of Imperial Navy aircraft as a project in its own right that I can then use with any Imperial army I wish, in much the same way as I intend to share the standard configuration titans from this army with any Imperial Guard or Space Marine armies I assemble in the future.

Thanks to everyone who commented on this thread, and to everyone else who started a ToEG09 project, whether they finished it or not. And congrats to Apocolocyntosis for being the only other person whose project did last to the end of the year.

That's exactly what I've done with my Navy forces too, in fact they have been expanded to include a Valk jump force and ground 'garrison' forces for protecting air fields and/or establishing new ones.

Great Titan force, and congrats on achieving a ToEG, one of a select few
