I would also appreciate some opinions on how to base the Juggers.

They are LV so normally one to a base, however I will base for what looks best. Any opinions?

A, B, C, or D?

I tried 15x20 first. Changed to Ø20 and I think it's nicer.
Spreading out over Ø20, 25, 30 and 40 depending on model/s is kind of nice.

I am leaning towards D at the moment but I may do up 4 bases to see all the examples.

By the way Honda, Frogbear undercoated a few more minis last night.

C. They are Light Vehicles so only one model per base and for small single models a round base looks best.

Don't be getting all cocky now, I'm expecting you to kick my tail. I think it would be extremely embarrassing on your part given that you already have an army. I've got one guy and two planes...well and a pile of stuff.

By the way, do we even know what we're doing? Are we pushing to get a 3000 pt army up? I suppose it would be nice to know what all the smack talk is about, unless we're going to get all "Alpha" male on the boards just because we can. :p

I vote for A or D as well and lean more toward D. A is classic but a bit squeezed. D however gives you more room to show off the paint job or embellish the scenics on the base. I'm just not a fan of the single mount for this unit. I like seeing the cavalry in pairs. But that's just me.

Honda: it is cool seeing your post in the future! As I write this it is still Jan 21 2010! Gotta love how global this hobby is!

I have to vote for the FoW base (D) as well. They may be classed as LV, but sometimes asthetics has to take precedent. Plus, you could conceivably fit this exception in under 'counts as.'

I've always felt that a pair (or any of it's denominators) is hard to get looking right.
Only on the 20x20 and really squeezed it works out.

3000 sounds good. The smack talk will assist us both and any others to join in. Alpha male if that works for you, but if you win, make sure you treat me bad, I like it like that   :laugh:

Honda (and others if joining in)

Where are you up to with your painting?

Last weekend at the convention, I decided to spend more time at the con than at the hotel, so only managed to get a base level painting done. As of today however, I have finished gold-lining 16 stands of Berserkers and am onto the Black areas and teeth of the Chainswords today.

Finishing the above today will then mean a final wash (probably 20 mins work), and then I will spend the new week basing all 24 stands of berserkers. I have bought a basing paint (darker grey) for this job, so I am hoping it all works out. After that, I have 10 stands of Bloodletters ready to be gold-trimmed ready to go.

You keeping up with us dude?
