Sorry, not Dr. Jackson... I've only gotten a minor in history so far though I have been tempted to go for a doctorate in Egyptology after I finish my masters degree in graphic design.

Eeep! Go for it!
Say, what does mewet mean then? Death? Or is it just an abstraction?

Nice Lynxes (in particular - can't resist asymmetrical aeroplanes!)

by itself it can be just letters in a larger word, but could also mean weight or mother if it has the determinative for woman next to it. It's usually never the symbol alone either in those cases, and has the symbol for "t" after it which denotes a feminine ending.

Had to trash the old camera... but got a new one today! Pics of my completed scratch-built Pylon, and some Wraith conversions. The Wraiths are made from .042 guitar string (that's an acoustic guitar light-gauge A string, if you think it matters...) with the upper half of a DRM Andrayada Bodyguard model.

Thanks Vaaish - say was this used as part of Hatshepsut's name or title? It rings a bell somehow.

Lovely Necrons !

Right now working on a bunch of panzerpioneers, a HQ and some "bailed out" markers with tank crews:

The boring part is almost over.

Finished an Emperor CAV last week.  We're in the middle of moving to a new house in the same neighborhood so not working on any minis at the moment.  :_(

Dusted off the Grotnought and added some more detail to the head.

Gotta scratch out a nasty Kombat 'Ammer arm and recruit some FW grots next.  That will put me well on the way to finishing it up.

Finished up some more pieces for my Brits:  (3) Hurricane IIC aircraft; (3) Humber III/IV armored cars; (3) recce universal carriers with .50 HMG's; (6) 15 cwt trucks.

I just received my weathering paints from Forgeworld and gave them a quick try.  I rather like them and easy to use.  I put some black soot on the rear exhaust of the armored cars but you cannot see it in the pic, I also added some dark sand to all the ground vehicles.

The weathering paints are not really paints but a chalky dust, I suggest using them with a sheet of paper under models so that you can easily clean up the excess and sift it back into your pots.

I also started work on my US 2nd Armor Division also, assembled 12 M4 Sherman 75/76 tanks tonight.
