The Cult Demonologist gives you access to an array of chaos cultists and demons etc.

For a Genestealer cult list?

yip.

In the fluff, the cult attracts all sorts of transients, abhumans, chaos worshippers etc.
Most likely leading them on as to their true purpose and souce of worship.
I wouldn't grant them access to a full array of daemon engines etc, but I think there would be enough units to preserve the integrity of the chaos list and add some flavour and interest to a genestealer cult list.
Choosing to either go down the road of rampant corruption or influence the planet through planetary politics.

I do understand where you are coming from regarding this. Obviously when a city goes into riot, any such cults are going to try and make the most of it...

It is an interesting perspective and one I have never thought of. I just do not know how they would interact with the machinations of the Genestealer cult and whether a General should be able to include these as a unit that takes orders for the good of the hive mind.

:suspect:

I think its all about manipulation and control.

Most of the minions being controlled, outside of the brood brothers and Hybrids usually have no idea whats going on.
Perhaps they think they are part of a coup against the planetary government or the part of a civil war in support of their chosen leader.

From what I know about the cults, they have no direct connection to the Tyranid Hive minds. When the presence is large enough on the planet and the psychic presence is strong enough, a hive fleet takes notice or something. Consuming the planet and the genestealer cult along with it.

Depending on which incarnation of the GS Cult you are looking at, you can arrive at a number of different conclusions as to what the structure could be.

The original works by Paul Murphy introduced The Genestealers which was basically just Patriarch, 'Stealers, & Hybrids.  He then went on to introduce the Genestealer Cult which included the Daemon possessed Patriarch, the Magus, Limos, Hybrid Initiates, Rogue Psykers, Brood Brothers, Beastmen, Mutants, Mutant Bombs, Daemonic Familiars, Summoned Daemons, & Chaos Spawn.  Freebooterz gave us the Ork Genestealer Hybrid or "Bug Boyz" force in the RT Era as well.

Jervis and Andy Chambers then tweaked the GS Cult to be part of Tyranids and introduced Screamer Killers, Hunter Slayers, Squigs, Zoats, & Mind Slaves as part of the picture.  Later on in the 2nd ed Tyranid Codex the GS Cult list was simplified, but added Hybrid Neophytes, Hybrid Acolytes, the Icon Bearer, & Imperial AFVs to the list.

The picture from "Tyranid" Tim Hucklebery adds in Hybrid Hierarchs, Cult Bodyguards, Brood Brother Initiates, Cult Truckers, Cult Attack Vehicles, The Genestealer Ark, special characters, Feral Cults & more classic PDF elements.

BoLs had their 4th ed incarnation adding some special characters of their own along with Seeding Lictors & Hybrid Monstrosity.

As you can see, there are more than a few units you could work into the list if needed.  The one I would definitely try to include in your list is the Limo.  It's iconic enough to be worthy of it's own place in the list.

I am glad that so many people have so much knowledge about the Cult. I always thought the stealers sliding into Tyranids was a bad move. A few of the units you mention are included in the list, like the Brood Raiders, which basically is an assembly of buggies, attack vehicles and cultists. I am staying away from psykers for now, as this version has undergone a major edit to reduce the number of units and formations to something that is feasible to balance and play test. I always think of Genestealer Cults as unique to the planet they appear on, and I do think there are major opportunities for different flavours. This list tries to stay away from both chaotic and tyranid influences, with a focus on genestealers, hybrids, and rebel PDF elements.

I definitely agree with you on the Limo. In this list, I basically replace it with Chimeras for the Inner Circle. I do not longer have the old 40K army list, and do not remember how usual Limos were. Me going for Chimeras was to give the Inner Circle some resiliance as a formation, because it is going to have a big bulls-eye painted on it. If I built the army, I would definitely paint the Chimeras black to honour the limos.

If the Limo would be included, we are basically talking an armoured buggy transport.
Things to consider:
AV or LV status.
Speed, 35 cm?
Looking at the pictures, I find it hard to go better than
AV 6+
LV 4+

Weaponry ?

Should the entire Inner Circle formation have access to them, or just the Patriarch and Magus?

I just love that Patriarch. Shame I only have the fat running one.
