Hi all.

I'm about to embark on yet another ebay clearout and once again need your guidance.

I have stacks of E40K edition plastic infantry which I was going to put up on Ebay in bulk, but I've seen a couple of posts on here about things like Heavy weapon teams and Catachan jungle fighters which makes me wonder about splitting them up a bit.

Would it be worth it, to you lot as buyers if I split them off into sections according to type?

Whats a decent going rate for them?
SM2 era and E40K Rough Riders?
Jungle Fighters?
Missile teams?
Autocannon / loader teams?
Command, commissar & Psyker sets?
Standard inf?

I have to admit I really need all the cash I can get, but equally certainly dont want to rip anyone off so will probably put them on ebay to let them find their own fair value, but feel free to make offers

There were a bunch of auctions recently doing just this. I will dig them out when I get home (a few hours) and also try and get for you the average price they have been going on on ebay.

I think its quite possibly a better idea to do it, stuff like catachins especially peopleare keen to get. However would you then lose on the normal infantry?

Maybe you could make EA companies up and sell them like that? More when I get home.

I've already had some offers which I'm happy with, but advice on ebay prices is still appreciated for when the rest get that far, thanks Chris.

It seems I have the following E40K era plastic infantry spare at the moment, all loose, unpainted and available with either SMII square or E40K rectangular bases.

About 50stands worth of assorted heavies (100+ autocannon & loaders, 50+ missile teams, 50+ comms guys).
75 Ogyrns
50 Attillan rough riders
85 ratlings
A good few hundred basic troopers

I also have a box of SMII era IG plastics in various states. I've not sorted these yet, but if you're interested in anything in particular, let me know & I'll have a root around before ebay gets the box!

All the E40k models are loose. Some were previously (neatly) blu-tac'd to other bases, but any residue blu-tac is easily removed.

Ok complete E40k sprue's regularly go for 8-10 pound it seems.
4th edition sprues 3-5.

Apart from the ever valued special parts from E40k there seem to be a swelling of serious Imperial Guard "starter sets" on eBay right now.
Not a good time, or perhaps the perfect time, to auction them?

You may be right. The more I think about it, I think I'm going to sell what I can from this batch of infantry on here & keep the rest for the time being at least.

I need a second army for SoW (for doing more local demo's with.... that's my excuse & I'm sticking with it...) so basic infantry being left over can be sued on that project & save me cash there.

The Specialists I cant use for that army, but they seem to sell well enough anyway (exception of ratlings - poor little blighters   )
