I think that they don't really care that much about SGs in general to bother. However now with the publication of the computer game, they might have decided to bring Blood Bowl into radar.

Well the game was based on the V5.0 ruleset that was created for them by the TBB community.

Even though they may not appear to support the SG games, I am sure it provides enough income for them not to scrap them altogether - or sell them off.

I hear BloodBowl is at a $2 Mil price tag with the problem of GW still to gain revenue from whoever buys it after the fact. Hence it is unaffordable and not a good business decision overall.

I'm surprised that fumbbl has survived as long as it has, especially with the release of the official (and actually quite good) bloodbowl game.

I did read on talkBB's replacement that the developers of the BB video game will be pathcing it to match LRB6 when that is finalised, which is good news. I stopped playing on fumbbl as it was using LRB4 while I was playing LRB5 in real life.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed this site stays safe and ok. If Port Maw has been hit too then it's not limited to Blood Bowl due to the new computer game but a more general ongoing campaign.

It's only one of the possible concerns but for safeties sake should the webmaster types look into changing the URL of epic40k.co.uk? Possibly epic-uk.org too?

I more meant it might be a good idea for CS to do so now if these things are being looked into and threatened. More chance they might over-look us.

They've hit FUMBLL for posting rules and stats and I would hate for the list development here to fall foul of over-zealous IP related C&D banning, but I could easily imagine it happening

And the lads at Epic.FR too.

Who is it?

Tom Anders aka Galak Starscraper. He put in a huge amount of work to the LRB which GW have benefited from. In essence, they're using his suggestions. There's also been shout-outs to him in the LRB, as well as using noted FUMBBL teams as part of the fluff history!

I'd be less upset if the Cyanide BB game wasn't so hopelessly poor at doing anything that isn't the actual gameplay itself - e.g. organising leagues etc.

I think you still retain copyright even if you give away copies for free.

You can.  GW is not giving away the underlying IP, just giving a free license to use it, subject to the non-financial "terms of use."
