Yeah, that's the place I've been trying for about a fortnight.

Try not opening the file in an Adobe browser window; first download the file to your computer (Right-click -> save target, for Windows machines) and then try to open it once you've got it on your hard drive.

The file is a *lot* smaller than 300MB!

Luggnarath Craftworld (Titan Clan)In development, Moscovian

Based on the current 'official' GW background, isn't this craftworld supposed to be the Harlequin-slanted craftworld?

Yme-Loc seems to fit better for titan legions (even though I know it's already slated to be the armored-fist style craftworld). Maybe make up a new craftworld name or co-opt one that already exists in the background, but isn't described. It's a small matter, but it bothers my OCD.

I suggest Na-Emain.

If Lugganath is Harlequin slanted, it will be the first I've heard of it.  Everything I pulled from online sources showed Lugganath to be the Titan heavy CWE.  However, I am more than willing to switch names if you can get me some supporting documentation.  I'm not married to it being 'Lugganath', especially if it isn't.  8v)

Well, I can never tell whether or not background found online is official or not, but I believe that in the 4th Ed 40k Eldar Codex there is a blurb (one short sentence) for each of the mid-major craftorlds. I believe that Lugganath is tied to the Harlequins. The only one I know for sure is Yme-Loc:

The Eldar of Yme-Loc are talented artisans, and their armies are supported by powerful grav-tanks and Titans.

I found this online, which is similar to what I remember reading in the codex:

The renegades of Lugganath foster close ties with the Harlequins, for the Lugganath Eldar hope to abandon this galaxy and start civilization afresh and claim the webway as their realm.

Maybe Il-Kaithe would be good to use, though I don't remember this form the codex (I thought Il-Kaithe was the exodite slanted craftworld, but maybe I'm wrong):

The Eldar of Il-Kaithe constantly crusade against the forces of Chaos. Their talented Bonesingers are said to be able to practice their art even in the heat of battle.

I suppose you can come up with some bit of fluff explaining the choice of any Craftworld to base the Eldar Titan list on. Just please pick one that has a decent color scheme (which, admittedly, may require you making one up yourself). I get enough orange from all the Vol fans around here.

EDIT: I double checked my 4th Ed 40k Eldar codex, and those quotes come directly from it. Two more are mentioned: Altansar and Iybraesil. Altansar just escaped from the Eye of Terror (during the Eye of Terror campaign). Iybraesil (a reference to Hy-Brazil I suppose) has an interest in reclaiming lost secrets on the Eldar crone worlds.

That's the most recent Lugganath fluff.  Prior to that, Lugganath was the only non-big-5 to have their titan clan mentioned and, afaik, that was the only mention of them.  As described in the original Codex Titanicus in AT "A craftworld almost completely overrun by chaotic daemons and only saved by the heroic efforts of the Fir Iolarion Titan Clan. The Imperium encountered this craftworld in the years 801.M41 and 805.M41." (I'm not sure if that's the original text or not - can't recall off the top of my head.)

Fir Iolarion (Eagles Born Of Fire)

Their nomenclature also fits with the "Celtic Holiday" connection of the early craftworld names  Samhain/Saim Hann, Beltain/Biel Tan, and so on.  Lughnasadh/Lugganath (the 'dh' is sometimes pronounced as a vocalized 'th' sound).

That leads me to think that it was originally intended to be one of the major craftworlds but was dropped as the fluff evolved.

======

Speaking of which... Happy Imbolc to everyone!

Here in the US, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, meaning the goddess Cailleach made it nice and sunny so she could gather firewood for the long remaining winter - 6 more weeks, per Groundhog Day lore.

Neal, the fluff you quoted is what I found as well.  But once again I don't care if we call them Attack-of-the-Zucchini-Eldar.  My goal was to go with a Titan-heavy CWE and they were the only ones I found online at the time.

As for painting schemes the colors I saw included copper which IMO would look nice.  But then I also saw somebody talk about green (ugh, not green AGAIN!) so I am unsure.  I'd be the LAST person you would want to talk to about painting.  Actually ePilgrim would be the last and I would be the second-to-last.

Here are some paintshemes of various Craftworld Guardians:

Guardian Gallery

Note that there is an alternative Biel-Tan sheme and several Craftworlds not mentioned in Codex Eldar.

Hmm direct link doesn't seem to work. Thenjust go on the uk GW homepage look under Wh40.000 - > Armies - > Eldar and then klick on the article labeled "Eldar Guardian Gallery"

Updated Eldar lists (that need to be combed for errors/typos) can be found here:

The version numbers of all the lists in that link are the same as what I already had printed out.  Also, Exarch still shows his MW melee attack. I didnt get deeper than that.  Am I missing something?

The typos haven't been fixed in the DRAFT docs yet.

You'd only be missing the Eldar Titan Clan list if you've downloaded the various .pdfs here.

Throwing this one here as well to make sure it gets fixed:

I think it is funny that no-one noticed in the current NET-EA compilation for the Eldar that Phantom and Warlock titans gained the 'Jump Packs' ability.

Now most people would take that as a typo. Yet in a tournament today, there were people there using Jump Packing Warlock/Phantom titans in the first round.

Combine that with the fact that they played (EA) MW as ALL attacks have MW and you have a pretty broken titan.

So, I guess this needs to be adjusted in the NET-EA Compendium.

Thanks Chroma.  :agree:

Yes I second that Chroma. It was also good to meet you.

Three more games today with the Iyanden List with 2 wins and one narrow loss.

Keep up the good work with the lists

Hi Chroma

I'm dusting off my Eldar after a break of about two years (been using nids and playing ancients instead). Was going to give Ulthwe a run out so downloaded the new draft Eldar Army compendium. This may already have been pointed out to you or indeed you may have already spotted it but on page 9 of the compendium the Ulthwe black guardians are not mentioned as having a 1+ initiative. I take it this is a typo?

Cheers
