Hello Guys out of paint so i cant do any more orks till i get some cash. So i am using what i have left to start on one of my Marine armys, This is the first of two on ultramarine and the other blood angels.

This is my first test squad. I have used the old school way yellow pads and red guns.

I've tried painting Ultramarines a million different ways and I'm never happy with the blue.
I can't get it to match the blue I have in my mind from my original Chapter that got nicked. How have you decided on yours?
And what blue should it be?

the same way i paint my 40k ultras,

1. Mordian Blue
2. Asurmen Blue (wash)
3. Drybrush Mordian Blue
4. Drybrush Ultra Blue

This is how i did them. Gets as close as u will get to the normal GW paint jobs for ultramarines

For 40k i will highlight with ultra.
