Right now as I remember,  the official lists are the 6 from the 2 books, Black Legion and Lost and the Damned for sure.
Official, as in "GW Released", armies are as follows, eleven in total:
Core RulebookAdeptus Astartes Army List (Space Marines)
Steel Legion Army List (Imperial Guard)
Ghazgkhull’s War Horde Army List (Orks)
SwordwindBiel-Tan Craftworld Army List (Eldar)
Baran Siegemasters Army List (Imperial Guard)
Snagga Snagga's Feral Ork Horde Army List (Orks)
Fanatic MagazineBurning Death Speed Freaks (Orks)
White Scars Army List (Space Marines)
Web ReleasesBlack Legion Chaos Army List (Chaos Space Marines)
Stigmatus Covenant Cultist Chaos Army List (Chaos Cultists)
Forge WorldTau Taros Army List (Tau)
EVERYTHING else is experimental or fan-based... and some would dispute the FW Tau list, I'm sure!
But, just because things are "experimental" or "fan-based", doesn't mean they're bad!  The Dark Eldar Army List in
EPIC: Raiders is quite balanced and fun to play with and against.  Most of the other Craftworld lists are also "good to go"... not sure where an Ulthwe list was getting a preponderance of
reinforced armour compared to the Biel-Tan list as it gets less support formations and can't take a Void Spinner.
The NetEA Project is working on a document with "ready for play" armies concisely listed, to be released in the near future.
