Looks good.

I'd probably 'Boolean Difference' a huge great oblong shape out of the underside, extending almost all the way to the top.

If you made that thing double-wide, you could fit two Epic bases (40mm x 12xx) on top of it, by my estimation.

You'd only need to print half of it, then cast it multiple times to make left and right sides as they'd be identical.

If possible, I'd just make a single "facade" and a "roof" that fits together... then you cast four facades and a roof to make your "bulwark"... will save a *lot* of material.

I already tried that (to reduce printing costs) - however, it did only reduce the costs minimally. I'm currently thinking of how to create a modular version that allows different height and width (i.e. make it also possible to fit the strip E:A bases to it).

Edit: What both of you said ;-)

Good idea. So with 6 or 8 pieces you could built a Bulwark which fits one respectively 2 10mm*40mm base on the roof just by gluing a sheet of plasticard on it to fill the gap.

Update:

Stopped work on details to find a way to have the bulwark modular. The intermediate result can be seen on the picture. The 6 tiles allow to build:

- original (properly scaled) bulwark
- bulwarks of various heights, width and length
- even complete defense lines (like to ones that can be seen in the Planetstrike book

Feedback welcome!

Have to agree it's very nice, but how much is this gonna creep the price up when you cast some for yourself and for trades?

I'm assuming you haven't got into costings yet but I imagine making each side out of three pieces is going to be pricey.

Don't want to be a party pooper, cos the modularity is a really nice touch, but personally I'd only be interested in a standard one, and wouldn't want to be put off by costings.
