the only reason I'm not tackling a Gatling Blaster sooner is because I havn't got the money to buy one from forgeworld and accuracy is a major factor in the scaling process, I could concievably make a different variant Gatling blaster, but it would look different to the Reaver's.

What would people think of such a weapon?

I'd much rather wait! If the titan was initially only supplied with 3 weapons then yeah I could see the problem, but so long as there's at least a full weapons loadout at release the titan could easily be proxied as the standard weapons fit surely? I'm assuming a lot of people will use some kind of magnetised weapons to have adjustable options for flexibility for different games and lists no?

The Gatling Blaster could be done properly then and added when done, judging by the speed with which E&C has done the hound I don't imagine the medium walking robot will take him that long.

Yeah this is true. Sorry to be a bit cynical about it, and it may well be that the vast majority of players use alternate weapon loadouts/don't mind proxying.

Just being pessimistic.   :sigh:

As Reaver arms are sold separately perhabs it wouldn`t be that expensive only to order the Gatling Blaster to have a size comparison? With this size comparison all other arm weapons could be modeled.

Speaking of other arm weapons: Because FW has designed the Melta Cannon very similar to the old plastic Melta Canon how about designing the Quake Cannon similar to the plastic one too?

That's the plan, still £56.

If they were done well I'd prefer kneepads I think personally. They'd look better more curved and closer sunk it fitting, and with the top and bottom of the upper and lower legs bits reshaped to fit. I'd also go for a shape half way between that and the one on the new FW reaver, where the top and the bottom are differently shaped and the shape as a whole is different.

Just a thought, could other weapons be available as 'bitz packs' later on?

My personal concept for the walking robots goes something like this (I haven't discussed this with JL yet so he may have some thoughts too).

Main packs:
Small Walking Robot (includes 4 guns)
Medium Walking Robot (includes 3 guns, and a cradle for mounting 'small' guns on the carapace slot)
Large Walking Robot (includes 4 guns)

Booster packs:
Weapons pack 1 (half the weapons, medium robot bias)
Weapons pack 2 (other half of the weapons, large robot bias)

Maybe chuck a sprue of 'Small' weapons into each Weapons pack too.

The Small and Large walking robots would come in a 'Standard Configuration' straight out of the kit, whilst the Medium Walking Robot would not (as the Standard Configuration for the Reaver is no longer legal according to the Warhammer 40,000 rules/background).

Medium Robot guns will probably be a Laser Blaster, Gatling Blaster, and Missile Launcher, that being the new iconic loadout for the Reaver, and if you squint it's a pretty good proxy for the Epic Standard Configuration loadout.***

No ta, let's keep it compatible.

There's still a while left to go on this build, plenty of time for a Gatling Blaster to be obtained.

And with Kneecaps: These are very rough, just single surfaces stuck in the right place, gives an impression though.

I kinda liked it entirely without kneecaps.

***A Laser Blaster gives 6x AP5+/AT3+, and if you assume the Gatling Blaster is loaded with 'anti tank shells' then it can fulfill the remaining two AP5+/AT3+ shots. Missile Launcher remains the same. 'counts-as' for Titan weapons is a core rule of Epic after all.

That seems good.

With the little weapons thrown in, I reckon thats a good choice.

You wouldn't go for two Laser Blasters, as this is the closest 'look' to the "standard" loadout? Saying that, I'm in favour of the gatling blaster.

My preference as well.

I like the look of the Laser Blaster / Gatling Blaster combo.

The above all sounds very sensible.

Also, big ten-four on the knee pads.  I still think maybe the solution for knee pads is to extend the height of the shin armour slightly (new Optimus Prime style), but that's just a thought.

The robot you present here, is it the medium one (3 weapons mounts) or the large one (4 weapons mounts) ?

Large - see the two vulcan mega-bolters on the shoulders? It's rather a large walking robot.

Thanks, I thought the bolters on the shoulders were just some close proximity defense weapons.

Here's the lengthened toes as suggested by Black legion. Slightly shorter than was suggested:

I think that works quite well. what's going in there for the knee plate? I was showing it to a buddy of mine and he mentioned that he thought it looked too much like the FW reaver despite being a type of warlord. I think that might be because of the head shape and the top of the carapace following a similar pattern to the reaver.

Not a fan then of the 'iconic' load out of MRL, TLD and power fist for the Reaver?

Once E&C models the Turbo Laser for the Warhound and sends it across that should help, as TL is more prominent and sticky-outy than the Vulcan Mega-Bolter.

Could I request a CAD 'photo' of a Warlord with twin Plasma Blastgun as the Carapace Guns now that E&C has finished modelling that gun if it's not too much trouble? Reckon it'd look hot :)
