Havoc Missile Rack 60cm 6x 2BP, Indirect Fire Single Shot

Can I choose to fire only a few missiles or are they an all or nothing gig?

Can I please confirm that these have no notes such as fearless, beserk etc?

Not sure as they have gone through a big change since 0.2 rules and wanted to make sure that the exclusion of rules was not an error.

No berserk. Fearless is in - must be a typo.

They are identical to the LaTD list engines



Khorne Daemon Prince states:

"If taken as a replacement for a Warlord then the Daemon Prince also counts as a Supreme Commander."

I don't think it does, but can I get confirmation that you do not need to buy the Warlord for 50 points to gain the Daemon Prince (another 50 points)?
It should read:

"Replace the unit in the formation that includes a World Eaters
Warlord character with the Daemon Prince unit."

No +50 on top of warlord. not yet anyway. not sure how to cost this unit quite yet. I am leaning towards +25/+50 extra seeing as he has so many attacks. Feedback on whether he's worth either one would be great thanks mate.

Also in the army list section it should read "replace a warlord" not a bloodlord

A few of list design questions here to anyone:

Should the upgrades be increased to 4? I;ve been hesitant to increase the number to deal with large fearless formations. Am I correct to do this as a balance issue? Or can we work with 4?

No.

Leave them as is.

People will be short on points as it is as making an army for this force is expensive due to the large numbers. As it is, I can already have an all Fearless army. Allowing 4 will mean possibly less troops which is not a good thing IMO.

I will let you know how the game goes if we get to play it today

Seeing as there's no Autocannon miniature in the chaos range would people prefer a Heavy Bolter on the legionnaires? WYSIWYG etc

I have the game in the wee hours of the morning tomorrow

Just need a little clarification on the following:

1. World Eater Retinue should be 8 World Eater bases one of which includes the Bloodlord?
2. Terminators - 4 stands + bloodlord - I take this to be 4 stands only?

I will play the Juggers at CC4+ and 6 for 400 points. It does go against the comparison unit of bikes however. I would think that CC3+ with the +1EA MW4+ may be an idea. Interested in your thoughts on that one for the future development.

As for the Daemon Prince, I am going to do it like this:
Supreme Commander
a. Buy the Warlord +50 points
b. Upgrade Warlord to daemon prince +25 points

Now does that leave his skills as the following? (Bloodlord + Warlord + Daemon Prince):
Leader, Invulnerable Save, Commander, Fearless, Reinforced Armour, Teleport, Supreme Commander
 
Is that too much for 75 points or not enough?

OK.

So far, I am going to take the below list for tomorrow. The main points of this force is that I wanted to include the following to really make use of the rules:

1. Try out the Juggernauts
2. Use a Lord of Battles
3. Use 2 units of Berserkers + 1 Terminator unit
4. Use a daemon prince.

The rest was subjective. The Banelord is just too good a miniature to not use in my first game under 1.1 ruleset.

Anyway, here is the force:

1. World Eater Retinue + 4 Rhino - 315
2. World Eater Retinue + 3 Rhino + 1 Land Raider - 380
3. World Eater Terminators + daemon Prince - 450
4. Lord of Battles x1 - 400
5. Brass Scorpions x2 - 250
6. Juggernauts x6 - 400
7. Banelord Titan - 800

Total - 2995 points

Low on activations, however I think I may be up against Marines so should be comparable. It is just a test list so there has been no min/max to determine the best "bang for my bucks" - please keep that in mind.

Finally,

I am a little perturbed at the Banelord's lack of CC damage to other titans (there is no TK or even MW attacks in CC!!) It has 9 CC attacks and 10 FF attacks all being normal attacks  :sigh:  

As a matter of a fact, none of the titans are that great in CC for pure punching damage.

Is this supposed to be correct, or an oversight?

1. yep bloodlord is built in.
2. yes 4 only plus the same availability of berserker retinues

Well bikes are cheaper because they only get no extra attacks, MW, inv save or infitrator. They are faster though (not on the charge though)but I see them as more fragile.

As a matter of a fact, none of the titans are that great in CC
I have not looked at the banelord or LoB in depth as of yet. They were a direct cut and paste from v0.2 except I changed the cost of the ravager as per the BL playtest change document and I adjusted the feral hellmaw weapon as per E&C's recommendation.

Low on activations
At this stage I'm viewing it that they are largely fearless troops so having less activations "balances" it out a bit. See how you go

The Doomfist of the Banelord is missing one line:
or (base contact) Assault weapon Extra Attacks (+2), TitanKiller (D3)

All the firing arcs are missing too.
Havoc Missile Rack, Hellstrike Cannon and Doomfist have Forward Arc, the Battlehead has Fixed Forward Arc.

Stats taken from the BlackLegion armylist.
