If you have no Nobs or gargants in your army where does the warboss go or do you lose it.

from the 2008 FAQ

6.5 Ork War Horde
6.5.1
Q: Can the Ork Warlord join any Ork
unit if you do not have a Gargant in
your army?
A: The Ork Warlord has to join a Greater
Gargant if you are fielding one. If there is
not a Greater Gargant in the army then the
Warlord Character can be added to any
Nobz or Gargant unit. Conceivably if your
army has no Nobz or Gargant units then it
could join any Ork unit.

Come to think about it it makes drop orks no more viable, but the question stands!

Yes the Big Boss can go on the Spacecraft (if no gargant or Nobz).
But then, the reroll can only be used once, and only for the activation of the spacecraft.

So it is useless, as your Big boss can use his reroll for the spacecraft from the ground.

Prod the Epic-UK types into making it a bit more possible/viable in their updated lists? (believe you play with them).

None of the lists currently allow a full orbital drop, unless you want to go with all infantry/walkers in the Blood Axe list.  Both the Blood Axe and OGBM can allow a substantial quantity of Planetfall as an adjunct to the ground forces.

I don't think that's a bad thing that there's not lots of Planetfall options.  I don't see orbital drops being a major feature of Ork military tactics.
