I really don't care much for the new HW emplacements.
They're pretty "blah."
Tuffskull hinted about new Stormtroopers for us.
Tuffskull, can you tell us more?
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Quote (Markconz @ 01 2003 Nov.,23:52) | Yeah I don't like the HW emplacment idea either. ?I hope the new range has HW figures without all those sandbags. | I personally think this is unlikely, as the 40K scale IG Heavy Weapons Teams are now on large bases (with scenery) and this is the reason why the Epic figs will be as they are!
I don't like them either and in the main due to the sandbags, if they were on their own base without sandbags then I think they would look a lot better.

Didn't Tuff mention something about him painting up some Stormtroopers? Unless it was something I dreamed up he sounded very positive about them. Guess there's something to look forward to Stormtroopers, Vultures and Valkyries... oh yes
Cheers

I'm happy that we're getting the new IG Air Cavalry stuff, but at the same time, I'm a little sad.
I guess all of my home-grown conversions and proxies will have to come from a different Forgeworld STC pattern.
Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak.

Woah... Kinda missed this thread......try to catch up quick
Yup, I painted the Vanquisher and Armoured Basilisk (which IS what it is ) as well as the Warhound. I think thats all thats been shown of them so far.
I've been granted permission to post my own pics once my models have been seen on their site so I will upload some more angles ASAP & start a thread of previews.
Yes, Stormtroopers will be released and they are nice models.
Havent seen the HW emplacements but am not convinced on the pictures from the Fanatic site.
Someone said that the barrel looked unfinished on the basilisk. I actually put my foot in it when that resin arrived for painting - it turns out it wasnt a mis-cast... Ooops...
I'm also being sent a second Warhound, and this time its mine to hack & paint as I please so we'll see what comes out of that in due course! Me thinks it will be the titan support for my desert army (i.e. not a Steel Monoliths Titan for once!)

Hello everyone.
Sorry for being away, bbut things should get back to normal soon. I have a new job, so will get broad band and have access to the net again shortly.
While I've been off line, I have had quite a few games. The guy I was teaching epic to is a big fan now, and we play at least once a week.
After a 100% win record with Orks against his guard, I switched to Eldar on Friday for an esculating engagement encounter, and was soundly thrashed.
I was to used to my Ork tactics, and threw my army in without thinking. They were decimated.
Still it was a tremendously fun game, and attracted a lot of attention at the local club again.
So much so that we both now have a game planned for the next club night this friday teaching two more players, with others also wishing for a game.
At this rate I may get the opportunity to get a campaign going a the local club.
May I still say that Supa Stompas rule, and Ork fighta bombas kick warlord titan ass.

Yup, that is a good way to lose. There couldn't be two completely opposite forces. The Eldar are definitely a 'hit n' run' force, as opposed to the Ork 'run up and stomp you' method.
my 2cents,

I think it is great to hear the attention E:A is generating. Then again GW 6mm gaming has been away from the "easily accessible" market for quite a while so there's a whole generation of young bloods out there who has never seen this type of game before.
Cheers!

Version 10.62 of Eldar is due out any time. From JJ's description, it sounds like a solid improvement, fixing some balance issues and (best of all) some flavor issues.
My guess is there will be one final tweak from this version to the printed list just to finalize points and _possibly_ tune the EoV one last time.
