I'd guess those people who hate on dipping are the same lot who avoid left-hand turns, toasted bread, & public transportation carrying the number "3".

Well put

I'm still considering dipping for my Tyranid infantry as I haven't really found a simple technique I was happy with yet. Personally I don't like the glossy look for non organic units but that is mainly because I don't use varnish my miniatures afterwards. A coat of flat varnish should fix it wothout problems. Really nice work on those minis Ghudra and the conversions look awsome.

Looking good, I can also recommend the new Badab Black and Brown from GW as fantastic. I'm slopping them on everything these days, straight from pot. Equivalent to dip I think.

Agreed.  The new GW washes are good and you can really get an equivalent result with ink+matte medium+water+paint.

Frankly, I'm just stoked I'm not over 1K miles from home this week and have a chance to mess with my paints! ;D

Here is a very WIP shot of a Plague Tower I started working on.

The OOP model, like it's Imperial counterparts (Leviathan, etc) always seemed dinky for the troop capacity, so I wanted to upscale a bit.  Ultimately, I'll be working in some vertical p-card strips and GS to bring in more chaotic flavor.  I'm debating a limited interior because the rear of the model will probably be open with a ramp down.

C&C welcome.

That tower looks great. I love when straight scratch builds come out looking perfect. I"ve tried the dip a little and found it works best with certain colours. Yours are wonderful.

Crikey!  I've come late to this thread, but there is some seriously hot stuff in here.

Dipping looks great on Epic models, I reckon its the sensible way to do armies like 'nids and LATD for sure.

Wow, that Plague Tower looks fantastic, can't wait to see it painted, especially if it's to the standard of your Mutants and Tanks!

Nice job.
What did you use for the back wheels?

Nice job.
What did you use for the back wheels?
They are the return rollers from a 1:35 KV1.  I plan on plating them up similar to the front wheel set so they look more crunchy.
