Expanded titan criticals for all the races...

I know I've seen previous posts on this, but I can't seem to find them?

Any help in pointing them out would be appreciated, thanks!

I was working on expanded criticals, but it was for NEtEpic, not E:A.

Nealhunt has expressed interest via PM in using my Titan game system's damage charts in games of Epic, effectively creating an Epic:A-compatible Adeptus Titanicus III. This might happen as part of a NetEA development month.

A draft of my Titan game can be found here: http://www.tacticalwargames.net/forums/ ... 13;t=13756

It entirely drops the critical hit /DC system, and replaces it with cool damage charts.

The main issue with that idea is that Titans are vastly tougher in your AT game...

True, though you could make them weaker by playing about with the armour save values.

...and the damage chart.

I don't think the Warlords and Reavers were all that much tougher.  I did a few quick calculations when I looked it over.  While they could spread shots over multiple locations, the "depth" of the damage chart was such that the actual number of hits required to consistently disable one in an alpha strike wasn't drastically different than the normal DC system.  The big difference was that if you didn't finish one off quickly, the repair rolls plus the shield repair meant it would come back very strong.

=======

Markconz:  Reaver wrote detailed crit charts but the links to the docs in the old threads no longer work.

Which does at least lead to the Titan spending much of the game Marshalling instead of using more dangerous Activation types. :)

I tried Reaver's critical hit system a few times, it was a lot of fun.
