Chroma, if you were ever to consider crossing the Pond for a tournament, I'd make it Britcon in August. 3 days (one game Friday evening) with 4000 point armies. Most of the regular tournament goers have this as their top tournament each year.

You've only got two weeks to get your enteries in for this tournament.

However don't leave it until the last minute; enteries to this tournament have been flying in with 15 places gone (and another two enteries on their way) means there are only 9 places left ... yes only 9!!!!

Does anyone want to arrange anything different for the Sunday or are we all happy to playtest the new or experimental lists in a tournament setting.

I'll be bringing stuff to use for either core or experimental armies for the Sunday.

If people want to pre arrange games that could be good if not turn up Sunday and just go with the flow!

PS - Closing date for lists is Saturday, 2 days left to get your lists in.

There looks to be an awful lot of Space Marine lists heading for Mansfield,it looks more like a convention than a tournament

Two people with their Supreme Commander in their BTS formation... that's almost always been a "no-no" for me... makes a plum target for the enemy, even if it is 10+ Marine units!  *laugh*

Now living in Boston... any EPIC players want to meet up?

The trouble with Marines is that putting the SC in any formation tends to make it the BTS unless you have a big titan in play!

I've found opponents can get fixated with killing them quickly and they make a good bait early in the game especially for teleporter's.

I've found this leaves my other formations in better condition in later turns and sometimes splits an opponents army for me to deal with easier.

or maybe I'm doing it wrong   .
