Hiya,

Just started my 5th epic army, the Lost and the Damned.

Its going to take me a while to finish since i'm going to south africa for a month next week and have lots of other projects on the go. But i thought it would be cool to track my progress online.

I'm going to try and keep the army theme and colours quite similar to my Word Bearers army so that they look good in big games of BL+LatD vs SM and IG.

This means a fair bit of red and silver and generally an undivided feel. I'm also unsure which deamons will work best with LatD so the undiveded look should help when experimenting with different combinations of gods.

So here are the first conversions for the army. The War Alter and Defilers.







I can't really do close ups yet as i don't have a tripod for my camera.

The defilers are basicly just old plasic sentinel legs repositions with a choas boltgun and a plastic drednought. I think perhaps they would look better with more the dred's body cut away making him alot lower down. I also intend to put some armour plates on the leg as soon as i can get some plasticard thin enough.

The War Altar is just a warmaster empire war altar with some chaos stuff stuck on. Looks quite effective though i think.

ooooh! Well; lookee you! I've been trying to find something for my war altar for a while; might nick that idea off of you...

From what I can see, both the War Altar and the Defilers look really good.

Can you do a list of parts please? (I can't recognise most of them)

The war altar looks like its based around a warmaster empire altar - can't remember the exact name but its what I'm using too

The War altar used the following parts:

Empire War Altar (Warmaster)
Vampire Counts Direwolves (Warmaster)
Chaos Sorcerer (Epic)
2x Chaos Icons (Warhammer Chaos Warriors sprue)
4x Spiked Skulls (Warhammer Chaos Warriors sprue)
Wire and green stuff

Each defiler used the following parts:

Platic Marine Dreadnought upper body and right arm (Epic, old style)
Two of them have Whirlwind missiles on the left arm (new style)
Two have old plasic sentinel assault cannons (epic) on the left arm
Chaos Marine boltgun (40k) trimed down and used as the battle cannon and hull
Three pairs of old plastic sentinel (Epic) legs for the legs and claws, some repositioned to create different poses
And on the back i used the ammo drum from the marine hunter AA gun.
