The last set of exchanges with Todd involving lower parts were not favorable.

We will probably have to sacrifice detail on the bottom of the leg pieces. But then again, it's on the bottom, and hence not readily noticed.

The other problem is the lower body. The next idea to try is to just use the cannon mount as the sprue hardpoint.

Meager progress. Legs have been enhanced to provide a better hardpoint and metal flow. This now causes a problem because the legs don't blend well with the lower body (as pictured below), so now I have to remodel that.

Damn otter! thats really getting to be one hell of a model. when are you gonna send it off to the machine shop for the true scale version ? you could have a pair made and set em out on the front lawn for halloween. scar the crap out of the local kids i'm sure.  :devil:

Todd replied. Seems the geometry of the lower body was ultra-screwed. After a few hours of tinkering with it, it's now fixed.

He used the legs as a test piece to see if some of his machine repairs worked, so maybe the birth of the petite crabe de fer is closer than we expect.

The Slaaneshi Defiler has moved to the main list, which is a good point.

Otterman, how plausible would it be to make a variant body/gun and produce a Desecrator?

What, in place of the existing body and weapon assortment? Or as a later set of pieces?

Edit - oh yeah, I need to make a hole in the top for our plug-in head.
