I recently traded for a nice painted Greater Unclean One from Bro Capt Parzval and I thought I'd try and personalise it. I've never tried to paint Nurgle before and have just recently had some very nice Zombie's from Exodus Wars delivered so wanted to add them to my Nurgle Hordes of Dobber. Of course that just made me want to paint some of it too.
I still have loads to do with my unfinished Slaanesh and Khorne and SoB's and Necrons and unstarted Dark Eldar and PDF/IG and I really should get some Eldar done at some point so therefore I decided to make a start on Nurgle... Hey, it's better if I just follow the inspiration instead of forcing it.

Anyway, have a look and see what you think. I need to know if I'm going in the right direction with this. Nurgle is probably the army with the least amount of stuff I have in my collection. other than the few listed units Nurgle seems to be forgotten when it comes to minis compared to other Chaos Powers.

If you have any ideas for Nurgle units you have painted or want to post your own pics of Nurgle stuff then please feel free. I'm looking for inspiration and ideas.

Thanks fella's,

Man, those Raptors are great. The mods to the jet packs are immense and the painting makes them very decayed. Hope you don't mind if I try it on my CSM's.

I personally believe that I have low impulse control (call it an educated guess) so can sometimes go to far but I do it anyway. So... you tell me... is this too much?

Hahaha!  :)) I can't stop laughing. I think a boy. I shall call him Turd and Turd shall be his name.

Huh, and women say that man can't create life. It just depends how sanitary he is. Grandpa Nurgle proves this point.

I am truly pleased to have someone use anything I come up with. Delighted in fact.

Ok, the poo is detachable. It shall be Grandpa's Nurgles personal assistant and get him snacks. I can take it off when playing and stick it back on when I feel like being crude... Now to make all the flies too...

Thanks L4, he's Nurgles #2

Ok, below is a pic of all the Nurgle stuff I have to date. It's quite a small bunch. No more than 6,500 points and no Titans yet. I want to do Bubonus but need some Titan Minions for him. So a Reaver, a Warlord and a set of Warhounds sound right but Titans can wait until much later. It's still a very light group so it will probably have to settle for Cultists lending a hand with some Warbands. I wish there were more Nurgle Daemon Engines available though.

You all should know by now I play NetEpic and so the units I need ideas for are for that system. These units are mainly the...

Shamblers - These are rickety rusted and decayed possessed dreadnought like robots with Assault Cannon and other bits they can regenerate damage. I have no idea what to use. Are any of the DRM walkers about SM Dreadnought size? I could use Sentinels legs like the Penitent Engine but I would rather use what I have left for my SoB's.

Breath of Nurgle - Ok, these are Rhinos, again possessed and can vomit a flame templates worth of terrain modifier ignoring bile. Just like a Great Unclean one but with a big template and not quite as powerful. I want to use tentacles and stuff that's not the problem... what is the problem is, what kind of turret should I use. Kev101 reminded me I need single horns sticking out of stuff so maybe an opened mouth skull face with horn?.. or something more practical and easy to do?

Plague Engines and Plague Tower - These are some of the most beautiful minis I know and I want to do them justice. Any suggestions on these are welcome. I also want to distinguish between the two sets. I have seen others use purple detailing on some of theirs or I could get tentacles and stuff and stick them on.

Yes ... he's ... its the #2 Man ... er thing ... :sus:  And the DRM Verger & Velite Walkers are a little bigger than an E40K SM Dread ... :))

Thanks again Bro Capt. Parzval. I hope I don't disappoint.

Should the detachable T be a ranged attack?..

I have a shortage of Beasts of Nurgle so I used 40K Nurglings that are crawling and I had enough standing to use as one pack of Plague Bearers too. I should use some sort of tentacles for the Beasts to make them less like Nurglings and more like what they are supposed to be.

I would love to buy some Epic Nurglings but have you seen the prices for these? You can never get enough for a pack anyway. I have an idea for Tyranid Rippers that I haven't gotten around to yet so I could maybe use what's left over for Nurglings too. I'm going to use the adrenal glands and cut off tubes and tentacles from the 40K Tyranid Gaunt sprues.

There are nurglings for epic? It seems I got lost somewhere in -93 and never recovered... Just the other day I found that there are loads of WD articles i missed, since I didnt follow things after Titan Legions came out (at that point we still played though). So I landed some WD:s off ebay, looking forward to catching up on some of those bat-reps. Unfortunately Ive had less time for painting, or anything else for that matter, as my ph d dissertation is in the final stages of writing right now...
