Great stuff. The paint job on those carnosaurs are particularly impressive! I gotta get myself some 6mm dinosaurs to convert someday :;): I didn't realize the Exodite models were so big though.

Thanks WMN !  Well the Exos and the E/W Mounties are in scale as far as the size of the riders ... as you can see.  But their Sauran mounts sizes will vary as they are bio-organism and various types.  So my Exo Lizy Cav will consist of my G/W Exos + 24 E/W Mounties !    :alien:   It's all good !! :agree:   As I re-looked at these models ... I surprised myself !!  :oh:  :;):  8v)

Those look great L4! :agree:

I'm a little short of knowledge on Space Elf fluff, but are those some flavor of Feral Eldar?  The models are nice in any event.

WOW! Those are fantastic. Beautiful in fact. Are these the original Exodite models... stupid question. It's L4 so of course they are.

Thanks Boyz ! Yep, those Be originals !!!  :alien:  Should have got more !!     The Fluff ... well IIRC, as the Eldar race was declining ... Some of them left and set up colonies/settlements on planets. And some became isolated and in some cases ... went back to the old ways ...  :alien:

I think the background for the exodites was more along the lines that the left Eldar society before the Fall occured (i.e. their exodus predated the Craftworlders' flight by some [significant] ammount of time). According to the 2nd Ed 40k fluff, they did not follow "the path," but instead avoided the attraction of chaos through hard work in harsh environments. The fluff made them sound like native american on the great plains, following the herds and using every part of the buffalo, er, dinosaur.

Now, though, in the latest fluff (and the way alot of people talk), it seems like an Exodite is any Eldar that lives on an actual planet. There's just slightly more GW background provided for Exodite Dragon Riders than there is for the Eldar Knights (which were an even earier incarnation of the exodites).

All that said, I'm super jealous that you have all these models and I don't have any. If only someone could find GW's stash and sell them. Alas, that is not likely. I do doubt the company line stating that all the molds were destroyed. On that I claim BS.

Hm... Perhaps some conversion kit for the Warmaster Lizardmen dinosaurs could be a job for Otterman...

I was paraphrasing from an old CJ, that had E40K List/Rules ... But like most of the G/W Fluff ... it's "flexible" !  :alien:

Dig yourself up an old Second Ed WH40K Eldar codex.  It has a nice 2 pages of Exodite backstory/fluff along with the odd drawing (and of course rules for them).  One of the drawing may have been the inspiration for the Epic models as most of the models are represented and look fairly close to the figures.

Hi L-4,

Thanks for sharing all of your photos, even with an old grognard that has been skipping out on my duties here at TC.

Best wishes and Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.
