Why do you think it's difficult.  I always thought white was pretty easy to paint.

Primer white.  Very pale wash.  Colors/highlights.  Drybrush white.  As long as you don't go crazy with the drybrushing and splatter your colors, it's pretty easy.

If you want to go tundra/arctic camo, then adding dark stippling (like evergreens) will cover a wide range of painting sins as well.

White Tau should look great (as do all well done white armies). I think you should try it.

Well... looks like I might try to combine the urban camo and winter camo into a three colour pattern or something... with terracotta unit markings, perhaps...

I'm surprised it's been so close!

In case people haven't noticed, I've started my Tau:

Went with the grey/urban camo choice, though I'm going to do an "elite" formation in red.  And, once I get some flyers, I'll do them in a white scheme.
