..Well, my mate got back to me today and it turns out he has a load of Chaos stuff, so I'll be buying that and starting a new Chaos fleet..

Ahh, Alastor. In my fleet, he is an Infidel. All 54+ vessels in my Chaos fleet are named after demons of one form or another. Doh! And I thought it as difficult to came out with good names for capitol ships and SQUADRONS of escorts... I suppose I will do the same as you eventually but not right now After all in the case of the Imps should be quite easy. I am naming them after greek mythology figures, so there are hundreds of suitable names there.

Well, given some more investigation on how should I use the fleet and its configuration I came over the fact that I had missunderstood how the NC operates. In fact it is only D6 its if you are under the HOLE, not the template. If it is the template it is only 1 hit. So, NC are still great, but they want to be paired up to be really effective. This is the reason I have decided to go for a NC armed lunar as well as the tyrant. It weakens my torpedo fire (2 capitols + cobras able to shot them) but increases my options at destroying a thing I really dread: enemy escorts.
Place 2 templates over an escort squasdron and you get the shields ripped inb the first NC shot and the squadron goes to hell in the second
I will still use the Lunars teamed up, but the 12 strength torp salvo is a thing to dream for the future To get those 20 points for the nova cannon I will have to drop one member of the halo squadron as well  , so the squadron will be 3 cobras only, but hey, you can't have everything in your life. Plan B would be totake out one of the firestorms of the Cerberus squadron, but that is slightly less appealing. In any case cheers for the critiques. I started assembling the lunars today. Damn, they look good. And that is before painting...
