I can live without a head too, can't wait for these crabs to arrive.

Later today, I'll do a variation with the sweep technique, and we'll do another review.

While I too am not too sure about the head on the regular defiler, if the model includes a head then we can always snip it off if desired. I think as far as the Epic model is concerned, the closer it is to the normal 40K model the more impressive it is (and it is impressive, astonishingly so!)

Radical (read unpopular?) idea: What about no head? (i dislike them even on 40k defilers)

I could certainly live with that as well.  :)

I'm not a fan of that idea for the sorts of reasons I mentioned in my previous post... it's such a perfect match in other ways it'd be a shame not to finish it off properly.

For those of you that aren't fans of them having heads, shouldn't it be a simple enough matter to snip them off?

Ok turned out to be made with paint :D

I invisioned some kind of mask for the head as the Wh40k Defiler has.
From the side it could look something like this:

Hm, this would be better. But now I'm concerned about the undercut due to the weapon docking holes. If I turned those into pegs, then the weapons would need holes, and then they wouldn't be useful as plug-ins for predators and such.

Ah horizontally *facepalms* Ok then my idea doesn't work because of undercut.

Speaking of undercut: The weapons and mounts don't need holes/plugs.

you could make the holes less deep and we can drill them out a bit to seat the weapons.

Edit: BL, they need small ones if anything to use as a guide for alignment especially using superglue.

Swapping the hole and peg to the other way round sounds good to me. I’d find the weapons just as useful for that even if they did have holes - if there’s not enough contact area to get away with gluing a hole piece, one could just fill them in with a bit of green stuff to provide flat surfaces to glue, or just pin them together.

I think that works pretty good. Definitely an improvement over your first one :) Do you think he could look a bit more evil though?

I can't seem to find the 'evil' button in MoI.
