Does a gamer friend of yours have a birthday coming up? Unsure what to get them? Do they love their iPhone? Then, can I suggest...

I thought this would be awful, but it looks genuinely cool and even useful (if you don't mind the battery use over a 4 hr game).

Can you believe my brother gave his old one to my technologically illiterate mum denying me the pleasure of rolling virtual dice!

Kinda kewl, but where is the fun in this?

Part of the enjoyment (for me), is rolling handfulls of dice while being taunted by one's opponents (and taunting in return) regarding one's lack of skill in rolling 6s (or 1s).

I bet the first close combat resolution in 40k crashes the iPhone.  I mean you need to roll what, a few thousand d6 for that?

Goodness knows no-one here plays a game that uses an inordinate amount of dice.

I can't believe I'm actually considering the purchase of an iPhone simply on the merits of those dice.

Could it handle 80 dices at time? Because that much I would need with my Orks in 40k. Just last week my 30 strong unit assaulted and I had to throw 80 dices (everybody did not get in range).

And if I would field my ´Uge mobs in epic again I would need 30 dices to shoot with them.

The Tmobile G1 also has the dice app.  Not as pretty as the iphone version, but it's free...
