I got some of these plastic tree trunks that you make your own trees with. Although they're rather big for epic, I've managed to cut off some trunks to combine them onto one tree and the branch arms actually support a stand of epic and don't look out of place.

So I have a large ancient dead tree that allows me to display multiple stands of epic. With a bit more twisting and adding my own wires, hopefully the stands will securely fit onto the branches rather than having to try and balance them.

So I'm wondering how I can dress up the tree a bit so it looks more Nurgle? I'm keeping it a dead tree, so not planning to add leaves etc.

I'm thinking of adding some green stuff to make it like a demon possed tree, maybe demonic faces on the base of the tree trunks.

But each main branch acts as a platform for one stand that then has multiple smaller branches sprouting out of it. It looks fine, but hoping to make it more stable, so wondering what people would suggest? Would dead foilage look Nurgly? or slime? or any other ideas?

Fungus growths, hanging vines/moss, peeling bark and so on.  Image search for tree disease nets all sorts of weirdness.

Thanks for the info, sometimes my brain just ticks slow because a few hours after posting that and before checking back here, I started searching for deformed/wird trees etc on google images.

I went a little "Tim Burton" and added "faces" to my Deamon World trees ...   :ghost:

Well it's finally done. My Nurgle Tree full of plague bearers. Took quite a bit of work as cut and gluing branches from different trees into one, then wrapping the tentacles and trying to add in nurgle rot to help keep the stands in place. Painting was a pain as well.

Suprisingly I painted six stands of plague bearers in one sitting, somewhat a miracle for me. And I've based them with some sand and green slime that worked out quite nicely. This is a sneak peek, so when I get around to getting my web hosting sorted, more photos will be posted then.

Old painted titan in the background for size comparison. May be tempted to create a second one, but with less stands (I've only got three stands of plague bearers left) and probably try and incorporate a plague bearer bursting from a plague rot sac.

Wow, that's really... weird. Looks great and I like it, don't get me wrong, but still... weird. Truly you are a minion of grandfather Nurgle may your weirdness infect others.

EDIT: Could we have a closer picture too please?

Why did you put Epic infantry in a tree? I don't understand.  :sus:

The idea of this was to be able to display some deamons without having to use too much shelf space. The shelf was designed for place large books rather than display models. So lack of ground space, meant I had to find a way to display upwards.

Anyway, someone (unfortunately cant remember) said it could be that the deamons are being grown from the tree :D
