In case anyone doesn't know, the original razorback had one lascannon and 1 twin plasma gun. In Epic that's 45cm AT5+ and 15cm AT4+/AP4+. For the average codex list would you value such a build more than regular twin heavy bolter or twin lascannon razors? In which case what do you think the value of it is?

(Personally I reckon its a better deal and would either cost more or appear in lists like space wolves which have limited firepower).

IG plasmaguns are 30cm, not 15.  I'd much rather have the Las-plasmaback than a Lazorback with 30cm plasma guns (probably +10 points each, above the regular Razorback)

I'm sure they are 15cm. Look under the storm troopers entry on page 92 of your rulebook.

I would take them exclusively over any other Razorback if they were available.  As I tend to load up on Razorbacks, this would make me even more likely to do so.  Razorbacks are already better than any other SM armor support.  This would be a total no-brainer for me.  The biggest problem would be restraining myself enough to keep the average formation cost down so I still had decent activations.

35 points might be okay.  Overall, though, I don't think they're needed.

I always thought it was an auto-cannon and used those stats,ignoring the plasma guns.
Those stats (AP5+/AT6+)felt OK compared to the normal razorback's.

Trying to keep it wysiwyg and at 25points what about
Lascannon AT5+
Co-axial plasma guns (small arms) either4+FF or extra attack(probably too good with 2FF attacks)

Oops...    (I think I've spent too much time looking at the Tau list...)

I wouldn't charge 10 points more (each) for Las-plasmabacks, in that case, but 5 points more would be about right.  I'd also probably up the FF value instead of having a separate statline for the TL plasmaguns.
