I'm sorry, this "new" warhound is the ugliest thing I have ever seen.  Most technology advances warrant an evolutionary design, as far as weaponry goes.  Okay , okay, I know, it is set way off into the future and blah blah, etc, etc, but still, there should have been some effort to retain some of the blocky, thicker feel of the older warlord/fw warhound titans.  I personally adore my FW warhounds, and you won't catch me putting any of my hard earned cash down on these things.

Just my 2 bits worth.

The F/W Titans are very good ! This new version is a step backwards, but I think that is what Jervis was going for.  And Devotion Seals are just down right goofy !  Not in the L4 SoTR !  Just cause it's Sci-fi doesn't mean it has to be goofy !        }:)

Hi!

It seems the old reaver were extremely popular. Their look was pretty good and their metal weapons were so much more attractive than the plastic ones.

Precious indeed!  :D

I loved the old Reavers - especially in Metallic blue.... ah.... metallic blue and silver, so easy to paint but so effect to see.

Hi!

Those colors were slick, I have one like that. I prefered blood read and bronzed gold trimming for most of them, although I through in some heraldic chevrons for contrast.

The good thing is that we will have choice. People wanting dark future gothic titan will go for the GW range; people wanting more strict "clean" sci-fi models will prefer FW ones.

A small thing tho : the FW warhound is really exceptional in details, and the FW model can be assembled in about any position you want, wich is a very good feature that cannot be considered a matter of taste.
However, i hear unexperienced modeller complain about how it make the mini more difficult to use, so maybe it's good that the GW one is "simpler" in that regard.

And just a precision : when i talked about the "weapon mount" on the warhound, i refered to the way the weapon were mounted, not the weapon itself; the old metal one were the same for warhound and reaver anyway.

by the way, the "squary" design isn't the old one; it's a rather new one on the contrary, which originated in the mk3 warlord; but original titans were much more akin to this warhound for their shape.

I like both design "school" and will probably buy some of this new warhounds... the 6 (old) ones i have are more than enough, but this one is much better in my taste, and at least different.

Hi!

Overall the FW minins are very good, they have clean lines and are pleasing to the eye, I haven't seen one yet I REALLY dislike, but they are somwhat "plain". This is good however for those who like to convert since its easier to add things on them.

And the other weird thing about FW models which takes some getting used to, is picking up a large titan to find it doesnt weigh anything beasue its resin.

Its a mental thing, but I miss the heavy lead of big bad models! :L

Hi!

Good point Tas. I once put up several FW model and when I picked them up I forgot they weren't that heavy and flinged it across the room....

The first full version of the Adeptus Mechanicus Titan Legions army list has made it into the Vault.

Linkage

AMTL are also now an option on the Battlestats site, btw.

It has been noted that there are some typos in the list, and that the satts for the Capitol Imperialis are missing. I'm going to email Jervis an updated version, with these things fixed, in the morning.

The main typo was the Wrecker, which should read "Titan Killer (D6), Extra Attacks (+1), First Strike", instead of "Titan Killer (1), Extra Attacks (+1)" in the Notes field.

Urrai! 'ere we go 'ere we go 'ere we go.... no wait, that's the orky jingle.... :p

Good work Dysartes - and Dafrca too, of course. :D

Ok, I'll be eclipsed in no time at all - but, discounting use of an Imperator, I've got at least an 18000 point army - at last!!!!  :D  :D  :D
