Nice stuff Warhead :)

Maybe a little more efforts on the bases would really improve the global rendering. Dark wash and dry brush the base would make them look better. Actually, they just look blue, really blue, they disadvantage the painting job on the minis  :oh:

Thanks very, very much guys for all your comments.

The bases are a bit blue, right enough. So a wash will tone this down then? This is my first attempt at basing other than flock or green paint. I was more worried about keeping the sand and stones on it rather than the painting side. I must have PVA'd those little suckers two or three times.

I've also had time to look through some more of the Necron stuff in the TacCom threads and there are some very nice Necron armies.    I even got arround to reading Incoming #25 (a most excellent read and a fantastic NetEpic Battle Report among other articles) So, I'm maybe going to use Orks for Immortals and not SM's and I also need to re-do the Pylon. After looking about I have seen a design I may even be able to copy, here... (This picture is not mine. I just like the idea is all...)

I personally recommend Eldar Guardians as the base of immortals, shave the head and gun down and they're a good fit. Orks seems a bit too squat to me, and are smaller than chaos androids.

Looking at the 40K Immortal compared to the Necron Warrior I think the Ork squat/hunched-ness works.

The SM's I used were ok (I thought) but comparing the two showed the SM's to be too big and stalky where as the Orks have thinner arms and just the right shoulders. I have used the Eldar Guardians for other stuff and don't want my Necron Warriors looking like my SOB Novitiate's. Other people wont have that problem though. Besides I can get a skull like face cut into the Ork boy. Wait and see.

Not sure what I should use for Pariah's now Eldar Exarchs would be my preferred choice but I've used up most of my extras for the Archangels and Celestian Sisters Of Battle. Ah, well.

Bugger!  :sigh:

...Though the DRM stuff looks full of potential. I was wanting to avoid buying too much extra stuff since I have so much Epic stuff unused but hey, you gotta' do what needs doing.

Lovely work on the Necrons! Lots of nice conversions :)

Can I ask where you got those clear crystals you used from? I might like to get some to convert elder Fire Prisms to look more like their W40k versions (if they're the right scale).

Thanks very much GlynG,

Sure, the crystals are basically beads from a hobby store. You can pick them up just about anywhere. These are from Home and Hobbycraft. As to Fire Prism Crystals, I am sure they have a wide selection of different sizes IIRC. If you can't find anything then I have some spare of the ones here and can send them down if you'd like a looksee.

I try to keep my eyes open for interesting stuff whenever I can.

Thanks for that! Looking it up on the internet it seems there is a Hobbycraft store here in Cardiff, so I’ll try there if the first instance.

Great, you'll find all different types and colours and take the time to look about, you just never know when you'll find something useful. If you don't have any luck though just send a PM. Good luck with the conversion and don't forget to post the outcome.
