What is worse is that it's not just the fact that I was thinking too much in terms 40K, rather the fact that I used to play Space Marine (as you know), where HQ units, such as Warlocks, were not really any tougher than other infantry units either meant that I really should have thought about the placement of the Autarch with regard to the Aspect Warrior Formations more thoroughly.  I have no excuse for not having thought of it  :vo .

On the subject of mixing Aspect Warriors, I referred to using eight units of Dark Reapers in one formation.  Does anyone have any opinions about this?  I found it to be quite effective, but the only problem was that the formation tended to attract an awful lot of firepower as my opponent recognised how dangerous it could be.  As a result, I can't decide whether it would be better to mix other units with the Dark Reapers, as I'm concerned that other units would be made redundant due to their lack of range in comparison to the Reapers, and I'm not confident about advancing Dark Reapers towards enemy formations to bring the weapons of any other Aspects mixed in with them into range.  What are your thoughts?

The 2xscorpion, 4xDire avenger, 2x Firedragon +Autarch and Exarch idea was magnificent!  I think that's going to be my standard set-up from now on.

8 Dark reapers is the way forwards.  I certainly wouldn't mix them.  Place them in some good cover (Or the webway) and laugh all the way to the bank.

I ran 3 Striking Scorpions, 3 Dire Avengers, and 3 Fire Dragons with Exarchs mounted up in 4 Wave Serpents in this Battle Report and I found them fantastic!

Great at dishing it out, supporting, and taking hits... though a full Leman Russ Company is hard to take.  *laugh*

did you really said 9, or did you meant 8 ? (I thought you do not Add Exarch, right ?)

also , ( at least in my FERC list) , DA is small arms ( extra)+1 and FD is MW AND small arms

will the FD strike  once or twice when engaging ? ( i.e do you ADD small arms or substitute the long shoot ? ( th FERC list mentions MW ... AND (small arms)

sorry for this silly rule question, but then FD just got better than DA , and then I suppose I am missing something... :_(

I meant 3 Striking Scorpions, 3 Dire Avengers and *TWO* Fire Dragons... *laugh*

The Fire Dragons fire 1 MW Firefight and then the Exarchs add another, normal, FF attack.
