For Devourer/Rippers a few squiggles of Greenstuff on a base seems to work fine.  Old Nurglings or Warmaster Rat Swarms are also pretty decent proxies.

Ah, thanks lads for all the kind offers to paint them for me.  Room and board will be supplied with all the alcohol thrown in for free... well at least free for me anyway.

I used to be really put off painting these (scared of messing up) until I just picked up a Trygon and started painting one day. I liked the result and started painting more and more. Within two weeks to a month of painting I'd completed about a third of this lot. I just limited myself to a few broods of models or stands per night in front of the telly. Then I placed all my Nid's out thinking I would have a better idea of how far I had to go but it put me off (Just too Lazy) and so I put the whole lot away and hid under the covers.   :(

For Devourer/Rippers a few squiggles of Greenstuff on a base seems to work fine.

I've been worrying at this one and have found myself looking at the 40K Termagant stands for adrenal glands and acid glands and I've also got lots of spare back armour plating from the Lictors arms too. (I used the Lictor arms to make 40K Rippers into Raveners) I'm sure with a greenstuff base suitably sculpted I could have a good end result but I have to build up confidence before I'm ready... also ten stands... that's a lot of glands and stuff. I keep finding other things to do instead. Like navel fluff removal etc...

Have you painted a Dominatrix yet?  I started one 10 years ago and finally finished it. I think it's one of the most awful minature to paint.

I painted her after years of it sitting in the box.  I posted it in the Epicomm's Comp., but no one voted for it ! :(    :;):

Hi Guys,

Have you painted a Dominatrix yet?  I started one 10 years ago and finally finished it. I think it's one of the most awful miniature to paint

I loved painting Dominatrix. I am no expert (Just learning really) but once I got a look I liked I became confident and the painting just got easier and easier. Most of my Nods have a similar look. Armour plates are all White spray for base. Bleached bone with Snake Bite leather wash and then Bleached Bone dry brush. The soft membrane and muscle are either Green, Purple, Dark or Light Blue or Scab Red (whatever you like) with appropriate Dry-brushing. I like it but see what you think...

I've still to take on a Bio-Titan. I have some ideas but still to psych myself up to do it. I have more trouble with painting camo on tanks or Heraldic colours on TG Knights than with Nid's...

Please feel free to show off some of your own stuff here (that goes for anyone who wants to) so I can have a look. Always looking for new ideas and to learn new techniques.

OMG :O  I want your army (even a tenth would be great) I like the colours on the domini, if you want a stupidly easy way to paint them (this go's for any epic really) the new GW washes are solid gold especially over a white undercoat and a few licks of paint for details (its all my nids have)

Wow... that is quite the compliment, thank you. :D

I'm always doubting myself but hope I can get better. Thanks for the tip. I'd been thinking of new paints recently as I'm still using some of the same old GW stuff that was around before Epic got canned and it's getting a bit mankey.  :p
If I could even get to a tenth of your painting talent and staggering style I would be ecstatic.   :D
