Not really intended for any list. Just thought it'd be a fun addition to my Krieg army, to go with the WW1 theme. I'm not really sure there's much point in thinking up any stats for it: it is ridiculously huge as the pic below illustrates (about 4x the length of a CI or 3x Marine landingcraft)

A quick rundown of the armament would be something like this though:

each side:
4x blitzen AA guns, 8x quad heavy stubbers, double barelled Turbo Laser

Dorsal: twin linked Lascannon, twin linked auto cannon

belly: 4x bombs, autocannon, twin linked lascannon

rear: twin linked heavy stubber.

I imagine it would be relatively slow moving with lots of fairly short range firepower. Once it does get in range though it'd unleash hell on anything less than titan sized.
Armor would be fairly tough, with high DC, but no void shields. This would illustrate how most shots that doesn't bounce off the belly armor would probably just pass right through the baloon without causing much structural damage.

Basically the counter tactic should mainly be to keep out of range unless you got some titans with heavy weapons to knock the thing out of the skies.

I split the previous huge pic in half so I didn't have to compress all hell out of it:

And the closeups. Overexposed I'm afraid, since it is night here and it is impossible to get good lighting to snap any pics.

Thanks again :)

For those interested in the possible use of military airships in modern armies I'd recommend a bit of reading about the SkyCat 1000 project. In times where fuel is expensive airships actually become a very sound alternative to trditional transport aircraft.

For various possible applications other than airlifting have a read through this page (starts about halfway down "Military uses"). Among other things it discusses the survivability of armored airships when used in a similar role as AC-130 gunships. Interesting reading.

Impressive. Nice touch on the lenses for the turrets underneath the blitzen guns.  :agree:
