Hi.
I just found a interesting naval game called the uncharted seas. Have you any experience with this system? Is it playable?
I ordered few fleets and rulebook for it just because models look sweet and there is too long since I played MoW last time.

No, but I'd like a review of the models once you get them please :) :)
They look nice.

It hasn't been out for long, I posted a link about it maybe a month ago. I'd be interested in a review of the game and the miniatures if you get a chance.

Figures look really pretty. Ships are bigger than GW's old OOP Man O'War. Plus the advantage that easier and cheaper to get hold of.

They also have some spaceships coming out which look nice. I like their acquatic race of aliens- very Mon Calamari-ish.

I hope that their two ranges do well and this new gaming company stays around.

Cheers

James

My order arrived today and I have to say, I'm impressed. Quality of the models is high and rulebook is well written (print is a bit low on accuracy, but pictures are nice.) I'll take you few pictures of the stuff I got, but now I'll go read more...

Yeah, it is nice to have fantasy naval game once more. :)  :)  :)

Hi again. I managed to take few pictures today. Models are just taken out from the box and no cleaning is done. I really have to say that I'm impressed with casting, no air bubbles, not much flash at all. And sculpts are nice too. :) Workspace underneath have 1cm squares for scale.

Dragon lord fleet

Close-up from battle ships deck

Dragon lord sails (they are white metal, a bit softer than what gw nowadays uses)

Charad, thanks, that was great. They do look good, I agree. And now I'm even more sorely tempted....  :vD

Thanks Charad

Good to see the battleships side by side- emphasizes their different characters.

These do look very good and if I can sell a kidney or other internal organ then I would be tempted to buy some.

Cheers

James

Not bad, although these four fleets still just dont grab me. I assume that your picture shows battleships from the Orcs, Dragon Elves and Humans.

first pictures of painted ships, dragon lord frigates:

I also played today my first game of uncharted seas. Starter fleet game with orcs against dragon lords. Orcs really crushed my fleet, but it was fun. :) I try to have some time to write something about it.

I like the look of larger Dragon lord ships but the smaller frigates dont look quite right to me. I think they would look better with pointed prows but that is just my personal opinion.

Cheers
