Onyx,

WOW!!!

I can not add anything different to what others have said.

I am sat at work(I work in the Middles East but live in England) bored and looking for insperation! Well I found it and in some style!! (If only I had some of my mountain of unpainted Epic and DRM here).

But you have enthused me to get my a** in gear when I get home and get building armies for Epic again.

Are all your armies painted in the same method, base spray, washes and highlights?

Any advice would be great.

Keep up the awsome work.

Thanks for the boost,

Bunny

Awesome looking titans, would never have thought to use warmachine models.

Many thanks for the kind repies... .

Bunny - Basically yes. I usually use a spray basecoat, followed by picking out details (shoulderpads, rolled up blankets, insignia, etc) and then wash. A few more highlights, details are added then finish them off with some spray varnish.
I hope we can see some of your armies finished when you get home?

Managed to finish another Chaos War Engine.
I'll be using these as proxies for Brass Scorpions.

Onyx, do you think it could be possible to easily create a nice camouflage color schema using the woodland scenic pigments ? As the basic WS set containts brown, grey, white, green liquid pigments, I was thinking that it could be possible...maybe you have already tried this ? ;)

I haven't really tried that before but it would be interesting.
I'd love to see pics if you have a go?

Managed to squeeze in painting this guy between Iron Warriors.
This is a proxy for my Necron army - The Deceiver (it's actually a GW Warhammer Wood Elf Spellsinger).
It's a little big but I'll live with that.

Not tried yet, I'm waiting for receiving my Army Painter grey undercoat before starting WS camo painting tests ;)

I haven't actually experimented with the pigments myself, but I wouldn't reomment trying with several washes in a camouflage pattern. It'd be very very tricky to control the flow of the color in recesses. I'd use a technique similar to the one described on the GHQ website: Basically you paint the camo pattern in your basecolors and then was everything with a dark black, grey or brownish/greenish wash. Then, depending on your preference, you can give it a slight drybrush of a dusty color (sand or khaki) to bring out the detail highlights a bit more.

This guide is for an airbrushed camo pattern but the principle remains the same for regular hair brush work:

A few more pics.

My Feral Titan proxies (made from Warmachine Cygnar Hunters and some GW bits and pieces for detail).

A Warlord conversion for a friend (made using a DRM Majestic and various GW goodies).
Mad Gav did the conversion and I painted it for him.
