Your vehicles are looking much better!  I do fairly simple paint jobs for Epic:  Base coat and dry brush, then details and wash.

Hi Honour Guard, I like the colour scheme. Desert Camo seems very popular these days. Been thinking about it myself.

While the Forum was down I have been keeping myself busy painting and giving some painted units an ink wash as can be seen here...

A Bat Rep with some of these units will soon be posted.

Simple Green is only available in the US. ?I think their website actually said they won't or can't sell it elsewhere.

I've bought Simple Green off the shelf of the local hardware store here in Australia.

It's not a U.S. only thing (thank goodness).[/quote]
Arse! Yep, I'm wrong again. :(
As Mephiston said buyable from their UK website, which I thought didn't exist before.
I suppose it's a good thing that I'm wrong :-p  I like the fact that it's more environmentally friendly then the alternatives.

i like the leman russ in the back with the aerial, is that tank any significance? By the way, your vehicles are coming along great.

Hopefully these pictures will be big enough to see some detail.

The Leman Russ with the aeriel is the Company Commander. I stuck a mini on the turret too. (Nice easy target for a sniper)

I had dreaded attempting the Basilisks but gave em a go. Pleased with result.

Even just a bit of drybrushing makes them look a whole lot better than just flat colours
They look really good!

Camo Green base and mixed with white for drybrush.

Should I be applying a last wash on these do you think?

I know a lot of people like the silver treds thing but I prefer drybrushing chainmail over black with a black wash to try to make them look well used. Any better suggestions?

Oh, also does anyone have any techniques to paint rust and burnt black on models.

Not much detail on the images anymore but will try for a close up of my IG Infantry.

1st Company HQ with Primaris Psyker

Ogryn Support Platoon. (Yes, only one per base.)

IG 1st Company (No official Rgt chosen yet)

IG Reccon 1st Bike Company with Sentinal Support and Commissar on Bike.

You can do burnt areas by lightly stippling chaos black onto an area. Maybe a little bit of scorched brown as well? Build it up til you find a level you are happy with but make sure you try it somewhere easily fixable first.

Rust an be done like this:

Which is paint it chaos black
Overbrush it scorched brown ( like a wet drybrush )
Stipple tin bitz
Stipple Bestial Brown
Drybrush / paint Boltgun Metal around the very edges of each plate, making sure that the strokes go into the centre of the plate.

It looks ok for larger models but not sure about epic.
